    Anyone know the name of the string intrument used in the begining??

    It is some sort of guitar, I think they called it the "Shamisen".

    yep is asian (Japanese one)... it doesn't surprise me... they have two asian countries as song titles (China and Japan)

    but i don't know if this one is the instrument that sounds on that song, i've never heard a shamisen :uhoh:

    Is the first string instrument, I think the song goes increasing in some sort of:

    -Synthesizer
    -String Instrument (Shamisen)
    -Acoustic Guitar
    -Drums or bass.

    believe it or not its not asian (that was my first thought) but its actually an instrument called the Santur

    Yeah it's a yangqin, a type of hammer dulcimer. It's in this video, at around 3.18-ish
