More questions answered by The Oracle... (over 1000 questions now answered - submit yours now!)

Q. Hi Oracle! I'm curious to know if the daily Exhibition Room entry is selected from the current day's submissions, or from all the submissions sent in so far. Or what. Thanks.
The Oracle replies:
Apparently the Curator will choose from all submissions; given it will only display on weekdays yet you can still submit at weekends, that makes sense. Seems we have a competitive Curator; there's already gloating since over 600 entries in less than 24 hours beats the number of questions I receive.

Chris Martin 'laughed off' Kate Bosworth rumours

Chris Martin is denying cheating on wife Gwyneth Paltrow after a story surfaced that he was canoodling with actress Kate Bosworth. Star magazine reported that the Coldplay lead singer was spotted making out with Bosworth, but a source close to the couple backs Chris, adding that while the couple has issues, Kate Bosworth is not one of them.

"Chris did not hook up with Kate in public or private," the insider told Fox411. "Chris has enough to deal with his work, his children and Gwyneth. He is not adding an affair with another A-lister to his list of things to do."

The source says Paltrow is also brushing off the story as best she can. "Chris pretty much laughed off the accusations and even Gwyneth was fairly unaffected," says the source. "She trusts Chris would not cheat on her in such a blatant, public manner."

Interview with Nikki Rosetti, producer of Coldplay's Safety and Blue Room EPs

Coldplayzone recently published an interview online with Nikki Rosetti, the producer of Coldplay's first releases - Safety EP and The Blue Room EP. Artist, musician and painter, Nikki, told them about her history with the band with delight and a touch of nostalgia: "I told everyone, 'watch out for this band, they're going to be huge", she said. Here is the interview article below:

You’ve been the producer of the two Coldplay opening musical publications, that is Safety EP and The Blue Room EP. That was the moment of the band birth and baptism. And you were there. How did you meet Chris, Jon, Guy and Will?
We were recommended to the band by friends of theirs. Most of the bands who came to us, did so by word of mouth or from record labels developing bands.

So you set to work at once. Was it hard? Was there enough material to work on or was everything under definition?
The songs were all written, although I recall all the band members trying out keyboard parts or harmonies and so forth. We recorded the basic tracks pretty much live, then overdubs that worked, were added, but very few. Some keyboard parts, vocals and harmonies, maybe some guitar. Getting Jonny's guitar effects set up right took some time...

The Beatles cover Coldplay at a venue near you

Forget the Rock Band video game, software is being developed that not only recreates Beatles performances, it allows the Fab Four to play other artists' music in their own style... which means you could be hearing a Beatles version of Coldplay songs in the near future!

Fancy some tickets to a live performance by the Beatles – with Jimi Hendrix on guitar? This could become a reality thanks to Zenph Studios, a North Carolina company that is developing software which not only recreates famous musicians' performances, it also learns the "DNA" of their style, letting them perform music that they never played before.

Zenph is best known for their "re-performances" of works by Glenn Gould, Art Tatum and Rachmaninov. On those albums, the company's software memorised the original musicians' performances and then recreated them on computerised pianos, in state-of-the-art recording studios...

Q. Was Chris Martin ever associated with a band called "The Pectorals"? I was watching "Cash Cab" the other day and there was a question involving Chris and a band called that. Thanks!
The Oracle replies:
How funny that Pectoralz came up as a question on Cash Cab! Ha! Pectoralz was an alter ego boy band project that Coldplay used to have some fun with when they first started. It wasn't serious and they didn't perform any gigs under that name nor was it ever a consideration to be Pectoralz over Coldplay!

Q. Hey-lo Oracle person, If I cover a Coldplay song and it is slightly successful, would I have to pay royalties on said song? How would I go about that? Or does Coldplay not even care?
The Oracle replies:
Gosh, I admire your self-belief and confidence and maybe it's a good thing to consider such things but you may be a little ahead of yourself here Ben. Anyone can do a straight cover of another's song; it's when you sample sections of a song it becomes a more complicated legal issue. There are mechanical licenses available for such purposes too but I would strongly suggest you get legal representation (assuming you haven't got a manager/label etc.) if you intend to release a cover. The fact that you did not write the song means that you would not get any money from the publishing income generated. Coldplay are signed to a publishing company who would collect those royalties. There is a long process to go through before then though. For instance you'd have to record it, get some kind of release, receive some kind of promotion/radio play and then sell it and hope people buy it...

Chris Martin and Kate Bosworth 'cheat story' is total fabrication

Paris Hilton must've had a day off yesterday. The celebrity gossip world instead were running a story on Chris Martin allegedly seen publicly making out with Kate Bosworth at a U2 concert - US mag Star is publishing this story even though there’s no physical proof that this happened.

But Chris Martin’s rep was quick to shoot down the silly rumors, saying, "This story is entirely untrue." Another source says on the contrary, Chris and Gwyneth are "more than fine. She may have been in the same room with him," they continue, "but he is not having an affair, was not kissing her or holding her hand."

Star Magazine ran the story (which is no longer available on their website!), claiming the pair were allegedly spotted kissing in the full glare of the public eye at U2’s Vegas concert two weeks ago. "I couldn't believe my eyes," an eyewitness told the mag. "There was Chris totally making out with Kate in front of other people. At first I thought it might be Gwyneth, but when she came up for air, it was clear the woman was Kate!"

Weezer Cover Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" in New York City

Rivers Cuomo made Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" 'significantly nerdier' when Weezer covered it in New York City on Wednesday (Oct. 28) night, that is according to ChartAttack anyway. Here's what they had to say about the Coldplay cover performance:

According to Stereogum, Cuomo, clad in a geeky track suit, performed the Grammy Award-winning tune before the rest of Weezer joined him on stage for the show at the P.C. Richard & Song Theatre. Cuomo clearly isn't that familiar with the song, since he had a music stand with the lyrics to "Viva La Vida" set up in front of him, but he made sure to do a lot of hand-waving a la Chris Martin...
