Well, there are all sorts of awards. There are Coldplay-oriented ones and ones that aren't so much. From what Ian has hinted at, I can guess we may even have some new ones.

As far as voting, yes, it's a vote. However, the process changes every year, so it's hard to say how it'll work this year.

Just wait for him to make the announcement. He'll explain all that stuff to everyone on the board.
