Thumbs up Frank Ocean

Thread.

He released an album the other day. It's amazing.

Odd Future suck.

He's opening for Coldplay?

and his Jimmy Fallon performance was pretty amazing

I hate Odd Future/OFWGKTA/whatever they're called so much, because all my friend talks about anymore is only them, and nothing else.

I haven't listened to the whole album yet, but from what I've heard so far, it really is great!

Yay Eddie for creating this!!!!!!
I remember seeing a bit of his set on the Coachella live stream and thinking it was pretty good for hip hop/ r&b and i thought about checking it out, that and bc a good friend of mine liked his music. Anyway I never got back to it til a couple of weeks ago I randomly remembered I needed to so I spotifyed what they had and then a couple days later he came out and then the album dropped and goooddd

I love, love, love his voice and yes, his stuff is more dif than any of the things OF do, he's much more respectable and wonderful and I just love him a lot?!?!??!?!?

Yeah. I remember my brother playing me stuff from his first mixtape (before he was called Frank Ocean) aaaages ago but I didn't think anything of it. The Coachella webcast reminded me of how good he was so I started listening to Nostalgia, Ultra heaps. And then he "came out" and I listened to Thinking Bout You 10000000000000 times and now we're here!!

both Thinkin Bout You and Pyramids are probably in my top 10 songs of the year so far...

Channel Orange is a serious contender for AOTY.

Mkay, so I saw this thread, and I figured I'd take a listen to "Channel Orange" and see what I thought of it. While I'm not enamored with it, I like it a lot more than I expected to, given this type of music isn't necessarily my thing. "Sweet Life" and "Bad Religion" are particular favorites ATM. I'll probably take another listen later today.

You should definitely listen to it a couple of times before coming to a decision. It took 3-4 times for me to really like it....

good album yo

thinkin bout you pyramids and bad religion are all great; still need to hear the others more

also i dont think ofwgkta are a bunch of talentless hacks; i believe they really have alot of potential especially earl and tyler who already have a bunch of great songs but i do think they need to mature a bit. right now i think they're still trying to be controversial for the sake of shocking but it cant last forever

to me, 'channel ORANGE' is one of the best albums of 2012, i like Frank very much. luckily, he'll be opening for Coldplay in Warsaw, where I'm going to see them (both of them- Coldplay & Frank )

Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You 'Channel Orange Tour' @ Terminal 5, NY (26.07.2012) - YouTube
