Yeah, they were on Japan, Hong Kong, Singapure and I think Russia the last tour, this time none of those, I think an Asia and Latin America tour are possible

Edit: Just checked and no, they weren't on Russia, still...

Those are regions often left out of big tours though. Still, Coldplay has toured all those places more consistantly than a lot of other bands, so if they go anywhere next year, I'd say those are all likely options.

I think they might do what Muse did on their last tour and do Russia and more "out of the way" countries perhaps??

Also I hope they play my back garden.

Belgium, Ireland, Norway, Greece.

Maybe they'll do some festivals.

If they were going to add a Perth date, odds are they would have done it around the same time as the 2nd Sydney date.

Anywhere in the state of New York would be nice, especially a make up at Jones Beach, but that prob won't happen and No, New Jersey does not count

I'm pretty sure New Jersey will be the closest they come. They haven't played NYC since the MSG free concert, and without doing sheds, there's not a lot of venues elsewhere in the state big enough for them. For whatever reason, they seem to have decided Jersey is the official New York area stop these days.

I don't know a lot about American stadiums etc but surely they could play in some NFL teams stadiums? Or Baseball? What are they 40-80,000?? They could fill them right?

I'm waiting for an Asian tour and I'm thinking it will happen after they've hit NZ/Aus.

I really hope they go to S'pore in Dec...If not, early 2013.

In some places, yes, but not everywhere. They're a slightly smaller live draw in North America than they are in most of Europe. They could fill stadiums in some of the biggest major markets though. In 2009 they played the Roger's Centre (former Skydome) in Toronto which is a stadium and did sell out. They've also drawn around 35,000 in single gigs in Southern California, and Alpine Valley which is considered to be on the outside edge of the Chicago drawing area.

Ah okay that's cool, but I always presumed what with more people and a bigger market etc gigs in America would be HUGE compared to European ones

I'd rather they spend the time in the studio.

If they don't do a second NA leg, a lot of people are going to be extremely disappointed and it would definitely raise quite a few question marks about their ability to sustain a global tour, especially since it didn't initially start in stadiums.

But then there's also the question of how long they can fiscally afford to stay on the road. It's already been mentioned several times that this tour could bankrupt the band, so they may be forced to cut it short.
