Default music system in my DVD player

I have a car DVD player and for some reason it play some DVDs with the music loud but no vocals or vocals quiet.
My DVD player like this:

My mum reckons it’s only started happening since we got a new TV, can anyone help suggest a solution?
Why is my DVD player playing music but not voices? Thanks.

IF the DVD audio goes to both the television and an amplifier you need a buffered y-cable. Otherwise, pick one or the other for your DVD audio.
