Not really, that is a special record store day launch, usually those covers look like that

last year they were all blue

Maybe by 'live versions' they mean versions like the Jo Whiley's Lunchtime Social version of Shiver. Sort of live, but without a live audience if that makes sense?
Otherwise, I don't see how they could include live versions of songs that have never been played live.

I just googled 'Coldplay' and the artists I remembered took part in the event (Snow Patrol, Hugh Laurie, Gaga etc). I wished I had a good memory though
