^^It's because Blur are stated as the headliners of the closing ceremony, but it doesn't mean there is no room for other acts (at least that's how I understood the latest news).

It does sound too vague but I still hope it's true. In the article, the director only mentioned Adele. .

Bump, I'm from the US, but I'm watching it on a live stream, are they definitely confirmed?

They are closing the Paralympics, not the Olympics

This is an olympics question not really a Coldplay question but will Blur be on TV at all or will they not show any of that? I know The Who are supposed to be playing

Dear Chesse Nip 2,

How is the future? Do they have jet packs? Did gorillas take over the world? Has Car Kids been released yet? If so can you email me a copy from your brain (obviously where data is stored in the future). Well, good luck with those terminators!

I didn't see the opening ceremony so I can't compare, but I was really disappointed by this one. It really lacks rhythm and exciting stuff for me.
I spend the night all like "Coldplay, where y'all hiding ? We need you now !"

Closing ceremonies are never as good as the opening ceremony but this one is just not good. Apart from Eric Idle singing Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life and the John Lennon and Imagine part the rest has been poor! Oh and I really REALLY cannot stand Jessie J. She really ruined it all.

But the opening ceremony - wow. That was magic. Danny Boyle did us all proud there. I'll never forget the images of so many chimneys, the Olympic rings forging in the sky and the innocence of the children and nurses from Great Ormond Street Hospital enjoying themselves amidst characters of children's literature and Mike Oldfield's music.
