I'm Dutch and I honestly don't care if they play Viva la Vida. I just think it's the best way possible to open or end your congress

I really don't think that people will link Coldplay to the VVD, at least I don't. Coldplay isn't Dutch, VLV is just one of their most memorable songs and it was a big hit here. I wouldn't really make a big deal out of it.

And I am absolutely certain there are well known bands out there who would be so offended by the use of their songs. I don't know if Coldplay's amongst them. It's their music.
If it's not the political motive though (this is the age of apathy after all) I would at least be bugged about copyright.
