Who cares what they say? They rated Radiohead's KoL at 7.9 for example. That was better than all of Coldplay's albums? PLEASE. It didn't have but maybe ONE good song. They're clearly biased. Every music reviewer is. The only review you can trust is your own.

Only Bloom, Lotus Flower, Codex and Separator, the others sucked ass, specially Morning Mr Magpie and Feral. That should have had quite a big 4.5 at least

Agree that those tracks are amazing, especially Codex. But remember, that's half the album. So a 6/7 is perhaps fairer imo.

It depends on the reviewer, and Coldplay are disliked by many indie publications because they're so commercial. I'd suggest reading Q magazine - they're kinder to the likes of Coldplay, U2, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Muse...

Oh no. The albums do fine but now all the rock awards are going to ed Sherran (who i do not like!) :/

Q is so predictable and stale I find. Not much variety.

They'll rate it depending on how creative/original/experimental it is, rather than based on quality, as usual. Hence the higher rating for VLV compared to their other albums. Pitchfork are shite anyway.

Now I like Give Up The Ghost and Little By Little.... That's about a 7.5

I have always liked elec music like Lotus Flower, and ballads like Cdx but Feral? it makes my head explode.

I prefer the Lone rmx of it, and Morning Mr Magpie will always suck

btw, will Radiohead release any other music video?

Everybody says Codex is great, but it just doesn't click for me like, say, Pyramid Song does. Feral, on the other hand is brilliant.

Not quite true.

I'm not much of a remix guy but the Lone one is pretty good. Morning M'lord (the guitar version) is great, but otherwise I agree.

I miss when Radiohead released videos and singles instead of remixes.

Morning M'lord was ok, but the actual =

The best from tkol is Bloom imo

Wait, isn't Pichfork the hipster site? You know, they rate new indie bands highly and once they get "too popular" they do a total turnaround?

I chose 6.1-7.0.

Yeah like giving Kanye a 10.0 even though he is too popular.

I find it amusing how this thread has turned all Radiohead-y.

And if y'all are going to go there... The Daily Mail FTB > all of TKOL. imho.

On the original topic... it's hard to say, not knowing what the final tracklist will be. Based on the songs we've heard so far, I'd say Pitchfork (not me) would give it maybe a 5.7 if ETIAW is not on it. If ETIAW is on Mylo Xyloto... maybe they'd give it something like 3.4.
