Haha, this is Gravity by Agnes, which is Dave Douglas' (who was the drummer of Relient K for 7 years) solo project. Yay.

I knew you would love this one.
This would be I'm Not Crying You're Not Crying Are You by Dear And The Headlights

Airport Surroundings by Loney, Dear

haha i knew it, there were some other songs i was gonna put instead of this one that i really loved but then i ended up putting this one because it was shorter even though it's much less than brilliant
this is switchfoot and adding to the noise. and jon foreman's voice <3

I love this song
It's Focus by John Reuben~

shoot, i was gonna put a different song on here with mostly just dave's voice but then i put this on because for some reason most people seem to like this one first
and it's springtime by attack cat

It's not Owl City, it's Sailship and the song is called American Moon.
I put it on because I talk to Mark Swickley sometimes (like once we had an hour long conversation about naming cheesecake ) and I thought he would appreciate me putting it on, so it's cool that you actually liked it haha

It's Cover What You Can by Copeland,

It's Deas Vail (<3) and Sunlight, and it totally is like other things because I'm silly and don't know how to properly variety

It's Waste Of Time by FM Static, you might recognize the vocals if you've ever listened to Thousand Foot Krutch.

It's Amanda by Ace Troubleshooter, and I get it stuck in my head all the freaking time haha
i almost said something about relient k here but then i stopped myself

It's Crayons Can Melt On Us For All I Care by Relient K, this song was destined to be on here.
R.I.P. those ten seconds of your life

not much variety is my middle name baby
It's Stronger by Seabird.

It's This Is The End (If You Want It) by Relient K, kinda a two part song off their most recent album which Matt wrote when he secluded himself in a cabin for months after his fiance broke it off with him. This album is so different from the others maaan- and you should not give me opportunities to talk about them because i will never shut up so yeah!!

It's funny because I had so many other rK songs I was gonna put on, all of like completely different styles and I ended up putting this hahahaahaha derp

1. In The Dolphin Tank - Port Blue
2. Gravity - Agnes
3. I'm Not Crying You're Not Crying Are You - Dear And The Headlights
4. Airport Surroundings - Loney, Dear
5. Adding To The Noise - Switchfoot
6. Focus - John Reuben
7. Springtime - Attack Cat
8. American Moon - Sailship
9. Cover What You Can - Copeland
10. Sunlight - Deas Vail
11. Waste Of Time - FM Static
12. Amanda - Ace Troubleshooter
13. Crayons Can Melt On Us For All I Care - Relient K
14. Stronger - Seabird
15. This Is The End - Relient K
16. (If You Want It) - Relient K

Don't worry about it! Thank you very much! I thought it was you because I thought it was Owl City...it wasn't, but it was still you!

Thank you again for that mixtape. I'm still listening to some of the songs you included on it and will probably check more from Herman's Hermits and Bon Iver because I really like what I have heard on the mixtape and from last exchange, Violet put a Bon Iver song I like. I think it's time to give him more attention.
You did a good job.

Originally I had someone else, but they didn't show up so they gave me yours. I may have changed some of the tracks around or put different ones if I had time to.

anyway here's my tracklisting:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/c250h6

Originally the mix was 16 songs long, but when I listened back to it, it was way too lengthy.

Looks great, Mike!

Now I'm worried, I don't feel like I put as much effort into it as I usually do/should have.

>.>

also I got rid of my trollin' track

and didn't find any rap songs that fit in so that cut out my awesome genremixing a little. D:

my Mixtape overdue review:

That's how it starts, we go back to your house, we check the charts and start to figure it out

Track 1 – I’ve found something out, that living is a problem because everything dies. My poor plant, damn you hot weather. Good start

Track 2 – Indian drums, Cornershop, Kula Shaker or Of A Revolution?, good track

Track 3 – Radiohead sounding track, can’t really make out any of the vocals as they are deep inside the song. Good guitar playing around 3:20

Track 4 – Good song by the Tired Pony, but where's the silver necklace you, never wear anymore?

Track 5 – Good start, the vocalist rings a bell but my mind has gone blank, some band from the last 5 years?

Track 6 – Sounds like something from the 1960s, or a “retro” artist like Paolo Nutini, on further listening it’s sounding more like a retro artist.

Track 7 – Alex Turner, sounds like it’s from his Last Shadow Puppets project from the chorus I’m saying Seperate And Ever Deadly

Track 8 – Good rocky intro, sounding a bit like the famous Nirvana, as opposed to the Nirvana from the 60s. A song from the Bleach era, About a Girl?

Track 9 – I have no idea! Good song though, sounds like something from the late nineties or early 2000s?

Track 10 – Black Swan Song/Grandpa's Symphony by Athlete, beautiful song, reminds me of the video for The Royal British Legion.

Track 11 – Nice Gary Lightbody song it sounds like, you are my joy from the The Reindeer Section side-project

Track 12 – Moody intro, before turning into a soft-sounding song, vocalist sounds a bit like Eddie Vedder, Better Man might it be?

Track 13 – Good intro, electronic sounding, long intro, but I have no idea. Sounds interesting though

Track 14 - Jack Savoretti’s Russian Roulette? beautiful song

Track 15 – Good sounding song, but as for whom it is I have no idea

Track 16 – Good track, Keane’s On a Day like Today

Overall a good mixtape

Well, technically there is some Owl City, just a different project.
You so smart
I've been beating myself up all week for changing a crapload of the songs last minute and turning my mixtape from diverse awesomeness to what it is now, I now understand the people who weren't gonna let themselves listen to it or change anything afterwards haha.
This just means I'll have things left over and ~*~experience~*~ to make a SUPER AWESOME one next time

Hello! Guess correctly?

First off, totally sorry for the wait. I was on vacation all week, and unfortunately the Atlantic Ocean does not have internet access.

1- Loud, fuzzy guitar feedback. YUM! Great intro.
Really happy you like that. It's one of my favorite instrumentals, so epic. Shame it's so short. It works really well in its album order, as it's the intro to Hysteria by Muse. This song is Interlude by Muse
2- Some fast-paced post-punk guitars and female vocals (more than one?) I like the bassline. I can see this being quite catchy!
Nope, just one voice. Emily Haines's voice to be specific, and this is Gold Guns Girls by Metric. One of my favorite bands, from Canada. I get this song stuck in my head for days.
3- More dancy guitars that remind me of Bloc Party somehow. I really like the choppy guitar work towards the end.
I'm glad you like this (I'm assuming you like Bloc Party. ) This is Two Door Cinema Club with Cigarettes in the Theatre
4- Hmm, the vocals on this sound really familiar...I like it anyway
I don't know about the UK, but if you were in the US it would be very familiar as it was on a car commercial over the holidays. This is Holiday by Vampire Weekend.
5- More of an electronic feel to this song, with a lot of keyboard/synth. Is this White Lies? I got their first album recently but I haven't listened to it yet! The vocals are again, familiar. I think my partner enjoys an 80s influence in his/her music.
You guessed correctly! It is in fact White Lies, from their newest album "Ritual". This one is Strangers.
And yes, I do.

6-Beginning sounds a lot like Sigur Ros, but I don't think it's them..but damn it sounds a lot like Jonsi. Unless it's his solo stuff, maybe..It's very sweet anyway
Yes, this is from Jonsi's solo album, Go. It's one of my favorites, Boy Lilikoi.
7- More 80s influence here, especially with the vocals. It's not bad this, can't say there's that much here to excite me, though :/
Ah, I wasn't sure if you liked this one, but as it's one of my current favorite songs I just had to put it on. This is a new band called Hurts, with Better Than Love. They do have that 80's sound, but almost a modern twist on them.
8- Is this Arcade Fire? Sounds a lot like Win hehe, but I don't recognise this at all haha I really like it anyway! Especially the outro
Another correct guess! It's Arcade Fire, from The Suburbs and the song is Modern Man. I could just listen to it all day.
9- I like the sound of this..Great intro with the strings and the mandolin (I think?). Then some cool guitar kicks in too. Really liking this. I think this could be my favourite so far!
I'm really surprised you enjoyed it, happy though of course! I originally had it to be a little "break" between the two halves of the mixtape, but then I changed some things and it ended up not really having two distinct halves. This is an instrumental version of the song Blackout by Muse, which isn't too far off from the original. Love it to pieces.
10- Starts off with some nice all female a capella singing closely followed by some piano. This is interesting. Has quite a haunting feel to it when the singing stops. Dunno why, but I feel this would do well in a film with forests and lost children and mythical beasts running around after them I like it hehe.
Oooh, again I'm super happy you like it. This was another song I was unsure of. I just recently got into the artist, Susanne Sundfør. Some of her songs are uplifting, but most of them have that haunting feel. I find it quite intriguing, and I can't stop listening to it. This song is Black Widow.
11- This is good when the music gets more intense around 1:22. I like the military drumming around the 2 minute mark, this is getting better. Got quite epic towards, but without being too over the top.
Good description of the song- this is White Lips Kissed by Mew.
12- A much mellower tune after the last one, with just (mostly) female vocals and guitar. She has a nice voice, it's a simple song and it works.
That voice may have sounded familiar, it's the same as in track 2. It's Emily Haines again, this time just her and her acoustic guitar. It's an acoustic version of Front Row by Metric.
13- More energetic turn now. I like the guitars and the upbeat feel to it, but there's nothing that grabbing about it for me, I'm afraid.
I'm actually very surprised you didn't recognize this voice, he's all over the radio. Sorry you didn't like it. This is Change Your Mind by the Killers.
14- Florence and the Machine; her voice is great. Nuff said!
Glad you like her! As you probably know, this one was Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)
15- Ah, it's Muse. I can't remember what it's called, though. Hysteria? Man, it's been years since I listened to these guys. They're not really my cup of tea anymore, I'm afraid. But an organ outro is always a good way to end a tape
So did you listen to them at some point? Just curious. This is Megalomania, in my opinion one of their most epic, meaningful, and under appreciated tracks. I wasn't sure if you liked Muse or not, but I figured that I could sneak this in and perhaps you wouldn't recognize it.

Overall, I enjoyed my tape, especially tracks 2, 5, 9 and 10. And that cool first track

So thanks to my mixtape maker, I think you put a lot of effort into putting this together which is always appreciated and I had fun listening to it

Thanks so much for the review! I was so scared you wouldn't like it.

The complete tracklisting:

1. Interlude- Muse (Absolution)
2. Gold Guns Girls- Metric (Fantasies)
3. Cigarettes In the Theater- Two Door Cinema Club (Tourist History)
4. Holiday- Vampire Weekend (Contra)
5. Strangers- White Lies (Ritual)
6. Boy Lilikoi- Jonsi (Go)
7. Better Than Love- Hurts (Happiness)
8. Modern Man- Arcade Fire (The Suburbs)
9. Blackout (Instrumental)- Muse (Absolution)
10. Black Widow- Susanne Sundfor (The Brothel)
11. White Lips Kissed- Mew (And The Glass Handed Kites)
12. Front Row (Acoustic)- Metric (Plug In, Plug Out EP)
13. Change Your Mind- The Killers (Hot Fuss)
14. Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)- Florence + The Machine (Lungs)
15. Megalomania- Muse (Origin of Symmetry)

And to my mixtape maker, I just downloaded it now. I'll have a review up either Monday or Tuesday.
