I think that there is good in relgion in that there are some organizations that donate money. However at the same time you could then thus argue that Hezbollah is good because they also donate to charity, yet we know of their atrocities.

I don't understand how people can think that religion does only good, or only evil when we are talk about every religion out there. There are some positive aspects, naturally, even if it's simply a sense of community. Likewise when you consider every religion there is no way that you can say it is completely positive when you look at the atrocities.

I respect anyone's opinion who's vote has been cast in either of these options, but I certainly disagree. I do not believe that there is only evil in anything. Even Hitler was nice to his dog, until he shot it.

The results so far are quite interesting and there's been a good turn out too.
Almost equal either side of the middle ground, which also has a fair following in itself.

I also like the results so far and find them interesting. I do though agree that it can't be completely positive or completely negative because there are both positive and negative aspects in pretty much everything.

I think organized religion and religious institutions are very harmful BUT I don't mind people having a personal faith.
I think someone’s personal beliefs are okay as long as they don't shove their beliefs down other people’s throat.

The harm comes from the people, not the religion. Every religion asks its adherents to do good, but what they do is corrupting the purity and the virtue of the religion. I took comparative religion course once and I got A- wtf I was supposed to get an A my essays were so good jeez I hate that lecturer
