but still there's a chance, Hezbollah are the minority in Lebanon but they were able to take over the government last week, hopefully the Egyptian people will be stronger and won't rest until they get a real democracy.

i hope the Pro-Mubarak protesters don't become too involved in the events that are unfolding. they need to accept that a large majority of their country want a change.

A former teacher of mine and an old friend I went to elementary school with were in Egypt teaching English for the year. Luckily they were able to get on the first Canadian flight out of Egypt and are arriving home tonight!

Thanks for this thread. The NZ media aren't covering it very well. All they seem to care about is getting some NZ tourists out of there.

exactly what i was fearing, has happened. the pro mubarak protesters have stepped up and clashed with the anti government protesters. not good!

Yup, saw the anti-government protesters running after the pro-Mubarak ones on TV about an hour ago. Violence abounds.

The pro-Mubarak demonstrators are mostly made up of the vile, corrupt, murderous security forces. They're taking over some army vehicles. THIS IS ALL PART OF THE GOVERNMENT! They're trying to silence us!!
