Yes i know but watch this video here yo can see that Chris only plays the G,B and E strings
And i'm sure that is standard because when Chris plays the riff at the last part of the song
he plays this
e-11/13-----16--16--16-13------------------------------------------------------------
b---------------------------------16--13--------11/13-16--16--16--13--------------
g-------------------------------------------15-------------------------------15--13-------
d---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------15

and jonny this:
e------------16--16--16/13---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b-16/18---------------------------16--13--------------------16---16--16/13----------------------------------
g-------------------------------------------------15---15/17---------------------------15--13---------
d--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------15----

Is just the same because e-11/13 is the same to play b-16/18 and b-11/13 is the same to play g-15/17

lol at the video, you can hear the acoustic guitar for the first minute and he isn't playing. very well coldplay, very well.......

so chris is just adding some bits here, but the real acoustic track (the backing track here) is played as i noted before: full chords using the thumb (as he starts doing at around 2.10 in the video)

yeah, the chords sound spot on!

by the way, i have the viva la vida songbook and the guitar chords sound good, but aren't right (not the way chris plays them).

i guess that Chris' chords are wrong because the songbook is focused to piano, so the chord voicings are only the simplest one related to the piano chords.

The high E-string of Chris' guitar is probably tuned down to a D. Sounds good but I'm not sure because in the video it looks like Chris is playing the exact same riff as Jonny does at the end.

eadgbd tuning sonus good but the chords of the verse sounds bad and in the last part chris plays this
capo 1st fret
e-10/12-----15--15--15-12--------------------l--------------------------------------------
b---------------------------------15--12----------l--10/12-15--15--15--12--------------
g-------------------------------------------14--x2l------------------------------14--12---------x2
d---------------------------------------------------l----------------------------------------14
a---------------------------------------------------l----------------------------------------------
e-----------------------------------------------l------------------------------------------------
if you play this in eadgbd tuning sounds bad too and if you play the chords of the verse and the riff of the las part in standard it sounds good. So i think it is standard tuning

I know for fact the tunning is standard. Its in the Viva La Vida Tour Programme. It is a setlist and lists the songs and tunnings for Chris' guitars and it lists Strawberry Swing and then says NORMAL for tunning. So we just need the notes. I will work on it.

Yeah, I took a picture of it. Its a really small picture so you cant really see it, but I went over it. You have to download the image here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?kdopyeolqa58lui

It says Strawberry Swing NORMAL.
