Who's watching?

Just 1 of you will do.

I'm only watching owing to the resurgence of "The Legend".

Your legend would'nt have won 6 WC's if his career had started this decade, is that the ONLY reason you're watching? I'd love to see him go on past Higgins (even though he's another favourite player) though, it's great to see. Also it puts a bit of a question onto John Parrot,as to why he's retired being 7 years younger then Nugget.

Martin Gould currently 7-3 up against Robertson, quite a story this would be.

You could say that about any of the past greats, and probably in any sport too.
Still doesn't diminish his achievement.

Probably because he's less talented and ambitious, and hasn't "looked after himself" as well would be my guess.

I've been watching since day 1, but didn't think anyone else was so didn't make a thread! Gould is a revelation to the tournament, would love to see Steve Davis play him in the Q/F!

Robertson needs a break of 63 like the one I made on Sunday

You've made a break of 63?! Respec. My PB is 50-something.

It's great to see Gould doing so well but Robertson is one of those players that can hit unbelievable form, like Selby, Murphy, once guys like that get into full flow they are so enjoyable to watch and even Higgins and O'Sullivan can't mow over them (Because as soon as you leave an open red for Robertson in top form, he'll do a trademark long pot and get an 80 break).

I'd prefer seeing Robertson go on and possibly get into his stride, but it's still fun seeing Gould competing.

stopped playing regularly about 6 years ago when I moved, Sunday was the first time I'd played in about 3 months so was happy with said break. had a couple of 80 breaks in practice in the past, nothing better than that, and an exhibition win over Ian McCulloch about 10 years ago. all with a toyshop cue stephen bought for my birthday for about 15 quid!

I love the game but its a shame I don't play it as much now

but it keeps Ian entertained so it can't be all bad

Yes, I think snooker will never be a ladies thing.

10-4?! I'm not watching it ATM (unfortunately) but it sounds like Robertsons fallen apart.

Woah, McCulloch! Whatever happened to that guy?

I played 2 or 3 times a week for over a year (When I really got into it) and have played just once in the past 6 or 8 months.
