Because everything around me is just a result of inevitability. I've watched too many mind boggling documentaries about physics as well as the creation of the earth, to believe in God.

But I'd still say I'm open-minded

I grew up believing in God, but I've been very doubtful about it for the past two or three years.

Though I find it harder to believe that the world/universe came about by random chance...

"God is a concept in which we measure our pain"

Anyway... I grew up catholic, though my family never really practiced that much. At times I find it difficult to believe in some things because of science and reason.

That's not to say that I don't believe that there is a God or there is no after-life. I do believe that something does happen to our souls after we die, but I just don't know what it is.

I'm getting confirmed this year, and I've been thinking about God recently. Can't really say how I feel, it's hard to describe

No, I think you're damaged, delusional and believe in a higher power. In your case it's yourself.

and you don't see electricity but if you touch those power lines you'd certainly know its there too..

God can be different things for many people but in general its good to have some faith and something good to belive in and to keep us going

Was brought up as a Christian but wouldn't call myself Christian these days. In a sense I believe in God but I'm very open minded unlike most of those atheist ****s out there who are incredibly ignorant of the science v religion debate.

...and we killed him.

Although,In Thus Spake Zarathustra I don't think he wasn't referring to the existence of God so much as his presence as a source of wisdom.

Personally I'm a deist. http://moderndeism.com/ I believe in a transcendent, impersonal creator who is revealed by dint of His creation and human reason (as opposed to holy books and prophets) but doesn't interfere with the world. If(big if) God expects a type of behavior from mankind, it is rational to presume we are already equipped with the tools to live in accordance with it. Due to the ambiguity and agnosticism surrounding this particular ideology, some deists may as well be atheists when it comes to the lives they live. The distinction is primarily a philosophical and scientific discrepancy in regard to arguments like intelligent design (not in opposition to evolution), complexity of creation, the source of life, consciousness etc.

Er...well I'm Christian, Missouri Synod Lutheran to be exact , and I always have and still believe in God, it's just the way that our church is that I don't exactly approve of. It's the strictest form of Lutheranism ever.

just wiki-ed it. It stands by biblical inerrancy and young-earth creationism
