Why did Coldplay left off to play Speed Of Sound live?

I consider it was unfair decision. Speed Of Sound is the most successful single from X&Y and just incredible song. But they actually left off to play it live in the end of 2008

Do you miss it?

I do miss it. And I would give up Fix You to hear it. But personally I would rather hear Swallowed In The Sea, White Shadows, Low, or A Message live. Any of those can replace Fix You at any time. I don't want Fix You to become like Yellow, a song they ALWAYS play. Sometimes they should mix it up.

YES! SWALLOWED IN THE SEA!!!

I get what you're saying about fix you, but I'd never ever want to give that song up!!! Hearing it live is like religious experience

i agree and disagree
i love fix you so i would be disappointed if they didn't play it live but i would also love and maybe prefer to hear square one or swallowed in the sea. personally im not a huge fan of speed of sound, like its fine but i think its my least fav song on x & y to be honest.

i wish i had gone to an X& Y era concert so badly! :'(

Oh I know what you mean. Fix You was such an emotioanl song for me at the concerts.

Okay I am starting to understand why it might be hard for Coldplay to make their set lists

Anyway Speed of Sound had probably the most amazing visual effects during it in the beginning of viva la vida tour

Thanks God, I heard it in Budapest! maybe it was one of the last times they played it

I've seen speed of sound too

But I actually didn't like the song as much as I like it now so I didn't appreciate it as much as I would have now.

But I'd still rather see Square One!!!! Especially with the clock!

I wish I came back to X&Y era to hear Swallowed inthe Sea, White Shadows, Speed of Sound, Clocks with coloured blocks on the screen and of course to see Chris's tricks with lamp during Fix You!

But I was too young to go to a concert then

My brother went to one though, and at the time they didn't know which song to use the light for, so it wasn't fix you when he saw it
