Why do I always end up playing bass when I started playing guitar 4 years before I learned bass?

I found out from a friend that he didn't even play bass on the wall at all, it was gilmour.
also he lipsynched a few songs during his shows.

lastly he's a walking contradiction. He wrote songs like Money and Welcome to the Machine that was about how bad the music industry was and greedy w/, yet in 2006 he does a tour called "Dark Side of the Moon", which doesn't even fall on an anniversary date for the album, or is promoting a new album or anything. it was just a cash grab.

don't get me wrong I LOVE floyd (my 3rd fav band after beatles/radiohead), but the more I hear about roger waters the more i think he's a tool
