Do smileys accurately portray what theyre supposed to?

What a title!

Ahh the wreck smiley, used to convey a sense of panic or overwhelment, perfectly pulled off.

One of my favourite smileys is:

The thinking smiley, as much as I like it, its more for looking doubtfully at the poster(s) above my post, not really about thinking.

This:

How sinister is that? It says hes mellow, who the fuck thinks thats mellow? Some god damn creep, thats who.

On a more positive note:

The Egypt smiley completely sums up everything about being Egyptian in the 21st century, Im sure it really stirs a sense of national pride among all Egyptians. The same as

is to Chinese people, and not at all racist.

I never understood what the deal was with the whatever smiley, and then I learned what it was doing... but it still has nothing to do with the word "whatever."

And whenever I use that smiley to mean "whatever," people think I'm using it to mean "wank."
