You will of course write down your whole name and adress etc when your participating, that will make it harder to cheat...

but, what if from all coldplayers we reach $500, you but something, how are you going to ditriute that between all the cpers who put the money? specially because it will be fans from ALL over the world, for example i'm from argentina,

Well the idea was that there would be 1 person picked randomly or through contest or something. So everyone will have a fair chance

2.) The papers are put in a jar or hat
3.) Then mixed
4.) Drawn

Here's a suggestion...
I know that the guitar/ piano / jacket is the coolest things ever, and I wish I could
buy it/ win it too.... but what if we go fore smaller things... more things...
Then maybe we can bit on a lot of posters, instead of one guitar fx...
Then in a followed competition/lottery more than one Coldplayer can win something?

Yep, i think the posters are the only things we'll be able to bid on. But a signed poster... Omg

I understand that. But I what I mean is who is going to draw? Personally, I think it should be someone who isn't participating. Someone who can't cheat!

And if we don't win any of the auctions, I think we should give the money to charity. Then this would be a win-or-win situation for all of us.

Our biggest problem is to find someone who wants handle the money..

This is a good idea, everyone!

I think Ian was on to something when he mentioned tickets.
- Only Coldplayers who contribute money would have a chance at winning (assuming an auction is won)
- To contribute, you would purchase tickets at a set price (for example $5 or the equivalent in your respective currency). You could purchase as many tickets as you want for that price.
- so, those who contribute more would have more tickets in the drawing, and would thus have a better chance at winning.

Still doesn't solve the problem of who would handle all the money and the drawing, etc., but something like that might work.
