What makes a good musician?

i think chris martin is a perfects example of a good musician, because he is modest, can compose great stuff, and play multiple instuments as well as sing. What does annoy me are people who think they are good at music just because they play 5 instuments but cant play them all really well. I have a mate who plays the bass, guitar, piano, and is now taking drums when hes not amazing at any of them.

i can play 3 instruments but im not able to read music :/ ... but im not that bad playing guitar
