Brian Eno And Alan McGee Have Angry Exchange On Twitter Over Coldplay

Over ex-Roxy Music star's production...

Producer Brian Eno and former record label boss Alan McGee have become embroiled in an angry online war of words. The argument, on the micro-blogging website Twitter, began after McGee suggested Eno's productions were all capable of making people fall asleep.

Referring to Eno's latest collaboration with Coldplay, the former Oasis manager added: “Was it your idea to dress up Coldplay as the Beatles?”

Eno replied to McGee's message (known on Twitter as a 'Tweet') this morning, saying: “Fuck off, ******.”

In response, McGee wrote: “Morning Brian, wondered when you would wake up. When are you going to make a decent record again it was 1972 was the last one ****.”

In two further tweets, McGee also called the producer “obnoxious” and asked him what “boring shit” he planned to produce next. He added: “I would have stuck to the art installations more chance of having a decent conversation with a bulb than Coldplay or Dido/bland.”

McGee, who has become a prolific poster on Twitter, discovered Oasis in the early 90s. He also released influential singles by the likes of Primal Scream and Felt on his former record label Creation. Eno, who rose to fame in the 1970s as a member of Roxy Music, has since established himself as a producer and artist.

He is understood to be reuniting with Coldplay again for their follow-up to 2008's 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends'.

Seems McGee keeps running out of offensive things to say here, "BAWW YOU DRESSED UP COLDPLAY AS BEATLES! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BE MORE INTERESTING?" Kinda weak on his part. He reminds me of a kid that can't think of insults fast enough with his lips flapping about like a nut.

I'm surprised Eno would even bother to reply in the first place. When it comes to talent Eno has more in his little finger than McGee could ever hope for...

I don't know if Eno is the greatest producer, but he certainly associates himself with talented people who progress and grow as artists..... Coldplay, U2.

McGee on the other hand associates himself with with people, who like himself try to make their fame by insulting other people and rehash the same lame music over and over and think people don't notice....Oasis.
