So after seeing all of Chris' painted guitars - I just had to do it to one of mine. I used blue painters tape all around the body of the guitar to make sure that I was not going to do any damage to the wood. After layering and layering and layering, I gave it a basic white coat of paint and used that as my canvas. The "art' was just me going by the seat of my pants..

Does the paint effect the sound of the guitar at all?
I'm tempted to do this as well but that's my biggest worry. |

Well, I gig with this guitar, so it has a pickup under the saddle and is all electronic. I rarely play it just straight acoustic. I also usually have the feedback buster in the soundhole as well so I am not used to it's normal sound
![]() I will say that last night when I was done with it (before I stuck the feedback buster back in it), I didn't see much of a difference. The tone may have been dampened a bit, but nothing that will be TOO noticeable to the outside listener

Well it looks great. I especially love the scribbled-on orange part near the fretboard.
I see you used regular craft acrylics... did you varnish it with anything after that? |

Novah - I did use a clear coat varnish when I was done with it. I had a big brush and just went around the body here and there to give it a shine

well you did great. I'd like to ask you about your feedback buster, you think it's worth it??? I'd like to try one on my acoustic so... don't know how much of a difference there's on the sound and if it's too hard to put on and off.

The feedback buster is a bighelp to me. We have floor monitors at most of our gigs and with it in the soundhole, the guitar doesn't seem as "hot."
Plus, they cost about $5 at your local music shop, so it's def. worth it!

Quote: mmm that's ok but my guitar is not elec-acoustic, just acoustic and I don't play a lot in public, I'm going to in a while haha but it's just mainly for myself, cause I'm kinda perfectionist you know and wonder how it would sound even if it's just to me. Bsides is not that easy for me to get it, the best music shop I got close doesn't have any so I'd have to order one. What do you think?
