It's awfully quiet around here!
Anyway, I've been trying to think what would be my ideal Blur setlist. Obviously I will be ecstatic whatever songs they play, but something like this would be amazing!

(Theme From Retro intro music)
Beetlebum
There's No Other Way
Girls & Boys
Star Shaped
Blue Jeans
Bank Holiday
Badhead
Good Song
Out Of Time
Tender
Stereotypes
Chemical World
Country House
Parklife
End Of A Century
No Distance Left To Run
Death Of A Party
This Is A Low
The Universal

For Tomorrow
Song 2
Popscene
Globe Alone
The Puritan

Strange News From Another Star
He Thought Of Cars
Sing
Under The Westway

TFR intro and opening with Beetlebum because of the 15th anniversary of Blur (the album)
Also, this was really really hard! Especially as it pretty much has to sum up their entire career in one setlist. I can't imagine how hard it must be for the band to actually make the setlists for real!

That's quite a brilliant setlist. The only one I'd really like to see not included here is Essex Dogs.

Yeah, there are a bunch of other songs that I would love to see but couldn't fit into my setlist without it being ridiculously long:

She's So High
Bang
Advert
Colin Zeal
Coping
Intermission/Commercial Break/Lot 105... any of the instrumentals they have done
Magic America
Trouble in the Message Centre
Jubilee
Top Man
Mr. Robinson's Quango
It Could Be You
M.O.R.
On Your Own
Essex Dogs
Coffee & TV
Trimm Trabb
1992
Battery in Your Leg
Fool's Day

Ooh now you come to mention it, Fools Day and Coffee and TV need to be in there somewhere. Get rid of Country House, easy.

And Caramel I'd love to see.

Essex Dogs is ok but it'd kill the flow of the show, I'm afraid.

Just one month to go!

I think it'd be magic to end the first half on Essex Dogs.

It's going to be the last song and the plug is going to be pulled half-way in as they broke the 10:30 deadline.

Hyde Park is a horrible venue for music, have the wind blowing the wrong way and your screwed for sound.

As long as that doesn't happen at Wolves Civic Hall I won't care

I went to see Kings of Leon in Hyde Park last year and it wasn't too bad. The weather was great but I can't remember how windy it was. It was pretty much my first ever concert though so I can't really compare it to anything

Had the best day of my life in Hyde Park.

3/7/09, Blur. Absolutely incredible.

Been there for five gigs (Blur, Basement Jaxx, Jay-Z, KoL, Stevie Wonder), each one's been fantastic. I've heard sound complaints from others (KoL the year after I went, Arcade Fire), but it's personally my favourite venue in the world.

Literally, cannot wait. So excited for the Olympics, but simultaneously, dying for the end of it

I've just discovered Caramel... such a beautiful song
Also I now love Trimm Trabb! As you might be able to tell I've been listening to 13 a lot recently...

It's their masterpiece. So much better than Parklife; Graham at his best, melancholic Damon, ambitious production, ambitious structures.

I just finished Alex James's autobiography today. He said that for Tender, he thought he'd use his double bass. He brought it in, tuned it up, and William Orbit recorded the tuning. They messed around with the recording of him tuning the instrument, and used it in the song. He didn't play a note of it properly.

Useless post but TRIMM TRABB
Oh and Hyde Park in 2009 was splendid and I'm sure this year will be great too.
