I recently sent this letter I wrote to a Hillary Clinton fan who is trying to sabotage Obama. If you agree with it, please feel free to send it to whoever it might apply to.
"As much as you don’t want to hear it, you are one of the many people who wanted to vote for Clinton for whatever reason. You hated Obama because you were told to by her. You apparently know little of his policies (most of which are identical to Clinton 's) and you just ramble on about how he's fake and bad for the country. Oh and you believe any lies like this letter that says Obama refused to shake hands with soldiers during a visit to Afghanistan . Why does everyone have to believe what this soldier says? Maybe he just wants McCain to win...but since he is a soldier everything he says and does is holy because he "fights for his country." People over there aren’t gods; they are people just like us. This guy is obviously a McCain supporter so he instantly assumes the worst about Obama. Do you really believe Obama is "afraid of our troops" and will refuse to shake hands with him? I don’t, and no one should. Your generation was lucky enough to be blessed with a young, hopeful president like JFK. Someone who finally brought hope to a grim country and made you believe in a brighter future. Well now finally our generation has somebody like that. Finally we have a good person who is trying to counter all the bad Bush brought upon us. Someone who can make young people such as myself believe that there is some good in this world. And all you Clinton and McCain supporters care about is ruining that for us. I can’t stand to have another president like Bush in office, but to Clinton fans, they'd rather see McCain than see Obama. Why? I ask, why? I personally have always had a grudge against politicians. I’ve been forced to realize that many of them are awful people. Now someone (Obama) has come along and given me hope for America , and you and all other Obama haters are trying to take that away. All I want is to have a decent president who will make some change so that someday this will be a better country. In all seriousness, if McCain becomes president, I doubt I will remain in America for too much longer after I finish college. Canada and Europe seem a lot better during times like these. So go ahead, continue being petty and doing everything you can to ruin the one ray of hope during these dark times. It's much more important to be a sore loser for Clinton than to make MY generation hopeful again. After all, it is MY generation that will deal with these gas prices soaring for the next 60 years. It is MY generation that is being subjected to this war at such an early time. And it's MY generation that will clean up the global warming mess left over from YOUR generation. But yeah that's totally fair. Your generation ruins the planet, then tries to sabotage the person who's trying to help us make it better. In case you haven’t noticed, Obama and Al Gore are good buddies and will WORK TOGETHER to try to solve the climate crisis. So can’t you just stop being so immature yet? If you don’t like McCain, why do you spend more time sabotaging his opponent than the McCain himself? I just don’t understand why all you Clinton fans can’t accept that Hillary lost, and let Obama help the country. I don’t mean to sound harsh or personal, I just have had enough of people trying to ruin what little hope I and so many others have left, when later on you may realize Obama was the right choice. So please, for MY sake, stop sending these Obama-hating letters, stop forwarding them, and stop bad-mouthing a caring, hard-working man. Why don’t you take a few minutes and do a little research instead? Look up Obama on the internet; try some neutral sites for a change. Please, let me keep believing in a bright future, it's all I've got to hope for. And if you do some research and find out you still don’t like Barack Obama, that's fine. Just don’t send me letters and talk to me in ways that will ruin it for me. Let me believe in what I want to, and let me support who I want to." -Nick |
