a thread for "glasvegas"

Formed in Glasgow, Scotland in early 2006.

I think they're alright. what do you think?

The only thing I know about this band is that Matt Bellamy recommended them in an interview so I've been dying to check them out, but Scottish stuff isn't so readily available in the States. Thanks for posting the videos! (Only "Daddy's Gone" worked; the other one was taken down.)

no probs....for me daddy's gone isnt working right now lol..............just type glasvegas into youtube....loads of video's but only 2 official ones i think

I managed to see them at Glastonbury to see what they are like, and my verdict is that they were very average, with nothing really setting them apart from other guitar-based bands around at the moment.

Also is the lead-singer shy as he said 2 things to the audience, a "thank you" after the first song and a "I think we better start that again" when they fucked up an intro, they didn't get the crowd on their side (which is a shame, as following Dead Kids's set it was boring)

I really like this band, and the album is great. Okay so its hardly the most cheerful music in the world, but songs like Geraldine are superb!

The only songs I know so far are Daddy's gone and Geraldine. They're really great, I'd love to hear the rest of the album as well but the cd isn't available in Germany yet. Anybody knows when it'll be released in Germany?

an OK band. i quite like Geraldine. But I prefer the other Scottish band, The Twilight Sad.
