Default Coldplay to Take Over SIRIUS Satellite Radio Music Channel

From here Just noticed this, sorry if it's already been posted.

SIRIUS' Alt Nation to become "Coldplay Nation" for ten days beginning June
13

NEW YORK, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio
(Nasdaq: SIRI) today announced that Coldplay will take over SIRIUS' Alt
Nation channel 21 for ten days.

Coldplay Nation will premiere on Friday, June 13 at 6:00 pm ET and will
air through Sunday, June 22. The launch of Coldplay Nation coincides with
the release of Viva La Vida, Coldplay's new album, which will be in stores
June 17.

The channel will feature music from Viva La Vida as well as other
Coldplay songs and will include personal introductions by members of the
band, including lead singer Chris Martin. The band will also select songs
by artists who have influenced them over the years and some of their
favorite music from today.

Viva La Vida, Coldplay's fourth album, " ... was fueled by a desire to
move from black and white into color," says Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
"Or, if you like, we decided to let our garden grow a little more unkempt.
The bloodhound was let off its leash."

"Coldplay has found chart-topping worldwide success by creating one of
the most distinctive sounds and styles in popular music today," said Scott
Greenstein, SIRIUS President of Entertainment and Sports. "We are thrilled
to give Coldplay and their fans a channel on SIRIUS where they can hear the
band introduce their music in addition to the unique music always played on
Alt Nation, uninterrupted and non-stop for an unprecedented ten full days."

Coldplay Nation continues SIRIUS' tradition of creating exclusive
limited-run artist-branded channels dedicated to iconic musicians. SIRIUS
has previously offered limited-run channels such as Radio R.E.M., Weezer
Nation, Rolling Stones Radio, E Street Radio, Neil Diamond Radio, and JAY-Z
Nation, among many others.

Q. Hello, We are planning to develop a fan club website for Coldplay whose music rapidly spreads among crowds of people across our country(Turkey). However, We do want to develop this website officially within the Coldplay family. We would be glad if you give us some information.

The Oracle replies:
You can't develop the site as part of the official Coldplay site I'm afraid but there are loads of unofficial fan sites around the world. One international one that springs to mind is http://www.coldplayzone.it. If you contact Patrizio he's really nice so am sure he'd be helpful.

Alt Nation is a radio station on Sirius Sattelite Radio (a monthly paid radio subscription that needs a special reciever). June 13th they'll be renaming it to Coldplay Nation until June 22nd. From this period they'll play All Coldplay and some of the bands favorites.

Not satisfied with just taking over the world, Coldplay's decided to take over outer space, too.
