Sheeeooot. I dont hate Lost! now. Theres alot of noise in it. Good noise but it detracts a little from the lyrics for me.

In My Place vs Cemetaries.... Thats TOUGH....

TOO TOUGH.

Politik > Life In Technicolor
In My Place > Cemeteries Of London
GPASUYF < Lost!
The Scientist = 42
Clocks > Lovers In Japan
Daylight > Reign Of Love
Green Eyes < Yes/CSC
Warning Sign = Viva la Vida
A Whisper < Violet Hill
AROBTTH = Strawberry Swing
Amsterdam = DAAHF/The Escapist

But because these songs contrast so much when they're compared in order, if I could make a mixed album it would look something like this...

(LIT synth intro)
Politik
In My Place
Lost!
The Scientist/42
Clocks
Lovers In Japan/Daylight/Reign Of Love
Yes/Green Eyes
Viva la Vida
Warning Sign
Strawberry Swing
AROBTTH
Amsterdam/DAAHF/The Escapist

Interesting,.

aRbtth agains Viva la Vida, hmmnn. At the mo honestly id choose Viva la Vida! Parachutes never really worked for me as an album. Dunno why but maybe bec i wasnt around when it was out! Have bought it later on!

But still im not 100% sure if any of the new songs will beat Clocks!

^ That mixed album would sound cool

Here's how I think the 2 albums compare:

Politik = Life In Technicolor
In My Place = Cemeteries Of London
GPASUYF < Lost!
The Scientist = 42
Clocks > Lovers In Japan
Daylight > Reign Of Love
Green Eyes < Yes/CSC
Warning Sign = Viva la Vida
A Whisper < Violet Hill
AROBTTH < Strawberry Swing
Amsterdam

warning sign tied with viva la vida semy? I disagree with you, captain.
I think we could change our signatures (yeah I took the idea from the bunch of pervs around here)
and it seems that nobody here likes god put a smile upon your face it's the strongest song of the album

Reporting for duty... Even though this is more difficult then reviewing any album. Comparisons are harsh I went ahead and listened to each.

Politik < Life In Technicolor
In My Place = Cemeteries Of London
GPASUYF > Lost!
The Scientist > 42
Clocks = Lovers In Japan (Impossible! Only VLV and maybe SS beats Clocks 4me)
Daylight > Reign Of Love (this was easy and daylight the 2nd weekest on AROBTHH)
Green Eyes < Yes/CSC (By far, green eyes is aweful IMO)
Warning Sign < Viva la Vida (I hate these 2 paired up. I love warning sign)
A Whisper < Violet Hill
AROBTTH < Strawberry Swing
Amsterdam < DAAHF/The Escapist (Another Tough Choice)

AROBTHH + VLVODAAHF = us! > sliced bread...

I couldnt really compare RBTTH straightly song to song with VLV...

Mission impossible for me cos the albums are so different....

I think that overall this album has got so many new dimension in it to compare with any other earlier Coldplay. yeah sure you can hear it s CP but its surely got some new spice in the sound....And thats even if compared with X&Y.

Ha exactly, mixed is so much better than comparing/contrasting the albums. They're practically a half a decade apart as far as age so why not combine the two different generations of the band to make an UBER ALBUM?

And I like what you did with Amsterdam and DAAHF/Escapist, that's exactly what my brain was trying to type! I love Amsterdam, but there's just something about DAAHF. Its like Coldplay went back to Amsterdam, stole the song structure with the piano intro and the big finale, and took it one step further. The two songs are even in the same key! (Eb )
