The announcement with global reach is NOT the euro cup football thing. Seriously, and I really don't want to sound conceited or crass... But global reach HAS to include the US and NOBODY here cares about soccer/football... At all.

I am hoping for something much cooler

I have to respectively disagree with you on this. In the past several years, there has been a major surge in support of soccer related activities here in the United States.

Take for example, the addition of David Beckham to the Los Angeles team. I know a fair amount of women have started paying attention to soccer for this reason alone. Let's face it, ladies like to see shirtless, sweaty, athletic men. My alma mater has grown their soccer program tenfold over the past ten years. I think that this is happening in many affluent areas that are supported by international businesses. Now, this could just be coincidence, but I doubt it.

They are announcing they are playing a Vancouver gig! Sorry Im bitter about them skipping Van City.

I could see them announcing that the album will have a "by donation" download option and it will be up on June 11th. (First International release date) Although that could be hard cause of EMI and all that Jazz...As well as the digital album experience. Or maybe they'll pull a Reznor and drop an entire album of the B-sides...that would be a good appy to the album and kick ass too.

I can also see them announcing yet another free gig somewhere on the west coast of N.A. or in Japan/Australia.

The last thing i can see is them posting up a VLA video and announcing a hard copy with a few B-Sides.

So many possibilities that I myself would be happy with.

Oh no I understand. I personally love the sport. It is still a LONG way from becoming popular though. And the Euro Cup is very blah for most of us. Now the world cup gimmee some of that!

YEAHH I forgot about that! That would be fun, maybe even some Timberland stuff, too? What if they just released (or announced the release date of) all their extra material? AHH hurry up Wednesday!

I remember that they announced there will be a discographical initiative, so I think it won't be tour dates but some new release like a single or an EP with many tracks... I hope it's so! cause tour dates make some people very happy and other ones not, instead a worldwide release is a good news for everyone...

Poppy Fields can be seen also
