The man sitting next to gwyneth is valentino's partner. The other guy, Bruce Hoeksema is a fashion and jewellry designer. Gwyneth is a fan and has worn his earings etc in the past. Obviously its a fashion show and its probably a mwah mwah hug. She wouldn't be fooling around with her mum there. No, on this occassion the ever present ring wasn't on her left hand ring finger but in other pics you can see he is wearing it on her right hand equivalent. Dont know if its the same ring or the significance of this but she does have them on. She didn't have a ring on when she went out with chris' dad but did the day after so may be she forgot?....
