me too. whining it is.

last month i was so sure that the next prospekt entry would be THE ONE with the release date in it, but it wasnt. now i have the same feeling (especially since its been so long since we've heard anything new), but i dont want to set myself up for disappointment again.

i'm beginning to feel like they OWE us an update, but that's really not fair considering that theyre amazing for keeping us as updated as they have in the past and for writing all these great, personal little journal entries when most bands dont do anything like that. but i'm starting to feel a bit neglected, no matter how unfounded that is. and i would think that if its coming out as soon as we all think it must (may-ish), theyve got to tell us quite soon.

i'm holding onto debs saying "it wont be too much longer" or whatever she said. thats the most encouraging thing i've heard in a while.

^ I agree with everything you said, but all I can say now is lets not get our hopes up if we're hoping for next week to be "the week" where they drop the Prospekt entry we'll always remember. The wait is driving me to the point where I think i should just not check this forum or the official coldplay one for a week or two, because I'm checking constantly every day hoping for some kind of leak to happen. I don't know whether I can do that though, too difficult.

ah zemy, we always seem to feel the same way. i wish i COULD stay away from the forum and the site for a while, but its both physically impossible (i have an addiciton!) and i feel like i'm missing so much both in CP news and the lounge!

but i'm freaking tearing my hair out here. if we dont hear anything by the end of feb, i'm going to lose all hope.

Im usually a patient person but this is KILLING ME!!I think i set myself up most of the time expecting something every day.I know that they wont give us info on the album every single day,but somehow thats what my mind tells me!!

You are right about it being an addiction, every time I turn on my laptop I go straight to coldplaying.com, before I do anything else. I guess it'll take a power cut to keep me off here!

But thats got me even more anxious about the whole thing. I know its more likely to be false info, but boy did it quicken my pulse.

ACK!!! i had NOT seen that!! well, i really want to believe it, but i can't, at least not fully. i think that if it was to come out in march, they would have told us the date and more details by now, or they're going to like next week. and i just dont feel that optimistic. i hold more stock in the may 19th/20th date (albums always come out on tuesdays in the US, and march 25th AND may 20th are tuesdays!!)

but if they dont start talking soon about the potential may date, then who knows WHEN we'll get it? i feel like theyd give us approximately two months warning, at least. i can't see them pulling a radiohead and saying something like "it'll be out in 10 days!!" no one does that, and i think the industry norm is around 2 months...

Yeah the May date seems more believable now...but you never know, really.

Though I WISH it came out in March!!

i thought that i can leave this forum checking for two or three months so that i can directly get on when they release the album or update more info.

but anyway staying out all the time is hard too,because some where in your mind some thoughts will be worrying you about Coldplay and Chris related info.
so i am just unable to do that all the time.

Chris and Michael Stipe performed 'Nightswimming' in the middle of the concert in Atlanta, Georgia. This was unannounced and the audience went bananas for REM's incredible frontman!

^definitely withdrawal symptoms. it was like cold turkey from an addiction. and even though i checked coldplay.com compulsively, i still felt like i was missing info somehow! i'm so glad it's back now.

wouldn't it have been horribly painful if during the time the board was down, coldplay.com put up THE prospekt entry about the album and release date? i wouldn't be able to rush over here and e-scream and talk to everyone! i was thinking about that today before i came here and saw the board was back.

That would have been ghastly. And extremely unlucky. I think it would take something away from the whole experience, not being able to talk to fellow fans on that day.
