Default In My Place elec guitar

'In My Place' was the first song I really got into in the AROBTTH album and it's such a great song with amazing sounding guitars. I know that in the video Jonny uses the black Gibson ES 335 but is it the actual guitar used on the album recording or a thinline tele?. The sound of the riff is so good and precise.

First its a vintage dark cherry 335. and yes it was used on the recording but in my opnion it sounds better on the thinline.

I thought so cos it sounds similar to the clean sound in the song AROBTTH. Looks like I'll have to save up to get an affordable one. I already own a red Squier thinline telecaster '69. (Prefer a '72 one though, like jonny's)

I didn't realise Squier thinlines existed back then.

No mine was made recently in the style of a '69, I'm not sure whether there were Squier thinlines teles then though, no. I got mine on eBay as a second-hand for about £216.00 (bidding not 'buy now'). I think it was part of a 'Pro-tone' range.

No I'm not sure either but mine was made recently in the style of a '69 thinline. I think it was part of a 'Pro-Tone' range. I got it on eBay last year for £216.00 (bidding not 'buy now'). Sorry I've entered that twice, my computer's being a bit slow.
