Default Coldplay "we'll be back with a massive show" and why they didn't play new songs

Coldplay after their visit to chile

"we'll be back with a massive show"

In a meeting with the press the band thanked to their chilean fans and told why they didn't show new songs in the concerts

Coldplay is not a band of lots of risks... in their music or their words. "what do you think about the chilean public?" asked in a meeting with the press, yesterday in the Hyatt Hotel. "Fantastic, we're used to thing a lot more disgusting, this have been really great" Say Chris Martin, the frontman of the band. "what do you think about guys like Noel Gallagher?"; "we''d never talk about someone in a bad way, even if we'd think that it's just shit" said the singer.

Just thanks as a review of their week in chile, where they did 3 shows that finished yesterday at espacio riesco. Even Martin promise that they'll back soon. "We'll be back with a massive show"

even when he talks about a confusion moment in one of their presentations in chile the singer looks smiley. "in the 1st night they throw me a lot of flags and I was really close to get one when Will (the drummer) told me that I should no do that, it could be a trouble" said martin about the colombian flag that some people throw at him

the more news came when the singer talked about why they didn't included new songs, as they promised even in their official website: "we didn't do that because of internet. if we play soemthing new now, it will mess the big surprise; the album won't be released in a while. Also we had never been here so for the people that went to our shows, the song yellow is new".

their social role and the iniciative of giving losts of tickets to their fans in the hotel, was another theme in their chilean visit. in fact, yesterday the english magazine NME had in their site an article called "Coldplay in controversy because the high price of their tickets in chile", quoting the interview of "El Mercurio which Martin Said that is really ashaming the high price of the tickets

also the artist confirmed that thursday night, after their show, he met Sebastian davalos, son of the president Michelle Bachelet. "It's very interesting as country, because the international comerce alliances, he said

Martin the Host
In Chile, Chris Martin did everything. Yesterday he presented their opening act. "With you, my favourite chilean band.., Saiko!", He said in spanish that he learned from the chilean band. in the concert he sang just a line in spanish "hoy corté una flor y llovía y llovía" oh Leonardo Favio and also played "High Speed" of their 1st album, a gift that he said, he won't repeat again.

"we're lucky, the gallaghers are nice with us"

Coldplay luego de su paso por Chile:
"Ya volveremos con un concierto más masivo"

CLAUDIO VERGARA

But we should hear and approve the stuff, before the album, there are some of us who don't like bucket for a crown. sometimes you need to give your fans input and it won't be a big surprise anyway for they'll put out a single, the tour will start a month or two before the album, and it could be leaked.

besides, if they wanted a big surprise they wouldn't play a new song, part of a new song, and tell us the names of two new songs and that they are ripoffs.

It's pretty ironic actually...We sit up watching the New Songs thread and there are no new songs because of US!!! Lol!

As for running your music by your fans, I'm sorry, but that's simply not true or fair. Your music, no matter how much others love it or hate it, is for you first, and the band's approval of what they write is all that matters.

If Chris would raise the colombian flag, I'm sure all chilean fans go for him and kick on the ass, hahaha. Another band made something like that. Will is our hero.

Will's so smart. No wonder.

I agree with Tracie. No matter how responsible your fans are for getting you to whre you are now, you can't write or run your music by your fans. So far, they've written everything on their own approval, despite what the fans (Or even their bosses) say.

I am disappointed. I think maybe they still preview a new song the last show or something of the sort.

Oh, and Bucket for A Crown is insignifcant. Chris didn't even write that song with the band and it wasn't even finished when he played it. He was just tossing it around.

If artists always made the best decisions, look at these stumbling messes How to Dissisamble an Atomic Bomb, and we should have some idea of what an album's going to be before we hear it. Unless they put together an album like Ok computer or Kid A.

IF they don't play the new songs, the thing I'll be pissed about is that they said they would play new songs.
