Why do people not respect others?

I have come across this many many times,and it does not make sense...maybe ppl are just plain mean these days..

Tis down to the rise of Chav culture.

Also The telly - theres alot more violence and bad behaviour on it and lots of other random crap.

Another thing as well - places are losing that community feel.
