OK guys,
just wanted to say I registered just to comment on this, cos I was hoping this was gonna come to light. Personally, I think coldplay are and always will be the best band in the world, and they shud continue to set the standard for bands everywhere.

However, I was actually quite pleased when the scientist *shudder* dropped from 10- 25. The scientist is the worst track coldplay have ever made, ever in their entire history, and Ive heard the Safety EP.

I mean no disrespect to coldplay at all, they're a fantastic band, but the scientist sounds like Lift Music, with lyrics. Quite frankly, I think its boring, there's on point to it. Chris's voice never rises above a monotonous drone. Johnny's guitaring stays in a very repetetive style.

Will's drumming sounds like he just started drumming, and I can't hear Guy, so I won't start on him, bless his soul.

I hope you guys take this into consideration. Cos without the scientist, ROBTTH would be pretty much perfect. The scientist is the worst, I still wonder what Chris saw in it. Ah well.

Night all

P.S. Yeh Christina's crap, but in my opinion, Dirrty's better than The Scientist

Hey, that was quite a harsh monologue. And the only thing I am gonna say is: Everybody has his own taste in music. I LOVE "The Scientist"!!! Yes, I do. So if that's your opinion, OK, but I don't share it...

The Scientist is a magnificent song - one of the best of the album!

In this case it was justified - without a doubt...

Hey, we should stop picking at Pat now! He already said a couple of times he is sorry and we should respect that - even if we all think his comment on "The Scientist" wasn't necessary at all...

ok at the risk of being outted by the coldplaying crowd....im going to have to agree with that chris_martin poster pat did you say? the comment wasnt bollox, the song is bollox. i think the description "lift music with lyrics" was perfect. it truely is a boring song. and i cant believe songs like one i love and i bloom blaum became b-sides...i just dont get it..

lol I guess its just one of those songs that you either love or you hate... I personally think its a brilliant simple song, but other people have said its too slow or whatever. All I can say to the people who do like it is at least it made a top 10 hit... just
