Default Is too much of a GOOD thing...BAD?

It may sound like a rediculous question, at first glance and slight consideration.

But think a little deeper about it.

I mean, if there is something you love alot...and had a chance to enjoy that thing

- all the time, would it turn bad after a while and would you get sick of it eventually?

There's a chocolate factory in Halifax- well, Dartmouth, acutally. I once heard (indirectly) from someone who worked there that out of the dozens of employees, only one or two can still stand to eat chocolate they're surrounded by it so much.

And that's chocolate! If you can get sick and tired of that, what hope is there for anything in the world?

!

that is just the idea I was looking for.

If the smallest things (i.e...food) can get to being a bad thing for you ... does that mean you can get tired of being with the same person!?

I doubt it, because people always change. Slowly, but drastically. Chocolate will always be chocolate.

If you marry someone, you don't promise to stay with the exact person standing at the altar with you, you promise to stay with them for the whole arc of their life.

Alot of their character traits remain the same.

But become expressed in different ways over time.

Even after 24 years, my parents can still completly surprise me (and each other) and as for things staying the same, well stability can be important too. It's not like chocolate- eat too much chocolate and you feel sick. Know that someone's there for you for as long as they can be and you feel safe.

I suppose

I think I just feel to have that type of character to get fed-up with things really easy.

I get less and less amused with things as time goes on.
Like, I need things to be bigger and better the next time around

It makes me afraid to commit .. and honestly, that is a really really really scary thought.

* EDIT

because I don't WANT to be that way. I want something to be able to change. I really depend on things being dynamic.

Maybe that explains thigns about me.

I can't even have ordinary, stays the same way throughout candy! It has to be something that changes flavors, colors, anything.

Even clothes, it is usually able to serve double purpose, or be reversible or something.

Even those little things are like the way I am in bigger things. I dunno if it's a good thing (in the smaller things) but the big things is what I am afraid of.

Well, I don't know if it comes across online or not, but I'm a bit of an ADD poster child. That said, no matter how much I get the urge to move on or do something else or change whatever it is, when something is really, trully worth holding onto, I set my will to hang on for dear life in spite of myself.

It's rough sometimes, for instance after 5 years of moving onto something new every year or so, that second year of college almost killed me.

But there are some things in life that you are just never going to get that good again, and some chances that will never come back. Those things are worth fighting for, even if it's your own self that you're fighting with.

That is the attitude I wish I had for MOST things... sadly, it eludes me.
