i've always heard that it's the contrary: the UK paps and tabloids are worse than the american ones. not that any paps are nice, but somehow the UK ones to me always seemed a bit more viscious and a bit more hardcore. that's jus t my impression, of course, but i have heard that the london paps can be more ridiculous in general.

well, I had the "pleasure" of a couple of run ins with paps in the UK and yes, they are awful people to start with, they push everyone and everybody to get their picture! Respect is just not a word they know.

But I just have the feeling that for example Gwen does the school run every morning in the uk and maybe maybe get pictured once a month doing it. But guess is just because they live here permanently the "hunt" is not that hard because they know already where they are.
I mean to get the picutres in LA...they must have been followed from their home!

oooohhh, no... i know it will have to happen sometime (boyhood rite of passage and all), but moses has such lovely curls! he looks like a medieval knight, or avenging archangel in toddler size! my cousin had such "lovely curls" too --my aunt cried for days after the first haircut...

I think that Gwyneth might be waiting for Moses's 3rd bday to cut his hair,since it is a Jewish tradition to wait until a boy is 3.

Usually it's Orthodox Jews who wait, but since she's into Kaballah maybe that's why she's waiting..

I think they are pretty vicious everywhere... In the UK I think they have slightly better protection for children being harassed by photographers, hence fewer shots of children coming in and out of school. Several publications in the UK also have a policy to 'fuzz' out children's faces when they publish pictures. It's not perfect but it's better than publishing them.

GWYNETH PALTROW has denied reports she and rocker husband CHRIS MARTIN are abandoning London to live in New York.
Paltrow, Martin and their two children Apple and Moses currently split their year between homes in the U.K. and the U.S. - but recent reports suggested the couple were planning to live full time at their plush mansion in New York resort The Hamptons.
The actress has spent more and more time in the Big Apple in recent months, where her best friend Madonna is now based.
Gossip was fuelled on Monday (06Apr09) by photos of removal men shifting furniture and boxes from the family's house in London.
The containers were each securely sealed, apparently for overseas shipping - and removal men at the home were tight-lipped when asked where the crates were heading.
But Paltrow's spokesperson Stephen Huvane tells WENN, "They are not moving house - just removing and replacing some things."
Huvane adds that the superstar couple will continue to live a transatlantic life: "Gwyneth has always lived in the U.S. half of year and the U.K. the other half. She will be working on Iron Man 2 for the next three to four months in Los Angeles and then she usually spends her summer in New York."

Robert Downey Jr. Turns 44 with A-List Bash

Iron Man sure knows how to throw a birthday party! Robert Downey Jr., with wife Susan by his side, celebrated turning 44 Saturday night at Beverly Hills's Thompson Hotel, in their second level BondSt Beverly Hills Lounge.

The party of 75 guests included pals Sting and wife Trudie Styler, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, Jon Favreau and Sam Rockwell.

"Gwyneth and Jake talked for a while about an upcoming project," says a guest. And during the night, "Jake and Reese looked very in love. They were being super affectionate, holding hands as they sipped on glasses of wine. They laughed a lot!"

As for another hot A-list couple nibbling on BondSt sushi platters of spicy tuna, sesame crusted shrimp, and sun-dried tomato avocado rolls, says the source, "Gwyneth and Chris arrived and left together. And they looked very happy."

At the end of the evening, guests toasted with hot sake, while Downey Jr. sipped espresso. And, to cap off the festivities, guests satisfied their sweet tooth with BondSt's individual chocolate meltdown cake. "He was very touched," the source says of being serenaded with "Happy Birthday."

i think i would have squeed my pants off if they were moving to the hamptons permanently . although that would be the most illogical thing ever...the town is all but deserted for 8 months out of the year, and basically in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for the article!! I have a feeling maybe Chris and Gwyn will stay in the US thru the summer, cause Chris will need a much closer base, since the Band will be touring in the states.
