Get an Oasis guitar chord book. Loads of easy stuff in there.

Coldplay-wise I'd go for In My Place, Don't Panic, A Message. Not a lot of their stuff is chord based, and that that is tends to require a lot of barre chords.

In My Place and Shiver were the first ones I learned. Apparantly Dont Panic is quite easy as well.

White shadows is terribly easy (the intro anyways)

-11-11------11-11-------11-11------11----11---11-11-----
---------9-9----------9-9----------9-9-----9----11--11--11----

Those are strings 5 and six. Figure the timing out yourself

The saddest kind of sad is the sad that tries not to be sad.
You know, when Sad tries to bite its lip and not cry and smile and go, “No, I’m happy for you”?
That’s when it’s really sad.

Chris' rhythm guitar tuning for GPASUYF is:

1| C#
2| C#
3| G#
4| E#
5| C#
6| C#

Johnnys' riff uses standard tuning ('^' = pull off, '/' and '\' = slide)

----------------------------------------
-14^12-------------------------------
----------13/16--16\13-------------
-----------------------------14/17---
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------

Don't Panic, See You Soon, A Message, GPASUYF, In My Place, How You See The World, and Yellow are pretty easy.
