when someone asks you what kind of music you like, what do you answer?

starting a new school, i get asked what kind of music i listen to and i dont even know what to answer... if i say rock they think nirvana and green day

and then they always ask me if i can play smells like teen spirit on guitar

or "never heard of the animal collectives...?¿?¿?"

It might be easier to tell people what you don't listen to. For example, when people ask me that question I just say, "I'll listen to anything but country."

yeah i feel kind of like you feel when someone asks me what kind of music i listen to, i try to don't tell them because then they think i'm weird, only one of my friends knows that i listen to coldplay, so i just tell the others that i will never listen to justin bieber or one direction

Most the artists I listen to are considered alternative, but indie is stupid. I used to be one of those.

In Taiwan, people will say they listen to Taiwanese songs, Japanese songs, Korean songs, or English songs.

I will say Coldplay first. And I also like to listen to music especially it's from UK.
