Default I want to go on holiday....but where?

It's been ages that I had the possibility to go on holiday and this year I'll be able to go.

It should be somewhere in Europe.

I've been thinking of either Ireland or somewhere in Scandinavia (e.g. Sweden or Norway)....I could go to Portugal with a friend, but the flight is really expensive....

what can you suggest me?

Yeah well I want to go to London but only for a few days.

But I want to go somewhere for a week at least. Something with a beautiful landscape and with an interesting city or other interesting places close

I thought of Italy, too. But I've been there for a few days last year. I also thought of south France

What about Croatian coast? Beautiful landscapes, old cities/towns and not too expensive prices.

Some pics:

EDIT:
This isn't on the coast, but the landscape is beautiful:

The Lake District is very nice, it's quite far from London though.

I spent 9 days touring the southern part of Ireland in 2003... we started in Shannon, and went to Killarney, Cork, Cobh, Waterford, and up to Dublin. It was amazing and beautiful and I absolutely want to go back and see more... so yeah, that's my suggestion.

Scotland would be perfect for you. Two very different but great cities in Edinburgh and Glasgow (under an hours train journey between them) and also if you travel by road from Glasgow northwards to Loch Ness via Fort William it is the most beautiful and stunning landscape in the whole of the British Isles in my opinion! The road that winds through the mountain range of Glencoe is lonely but really inspiring. Best thing is it's a relatively small country but equally diverse in landscape and culture. Now I might be biased but I really believe you would find it breathtaking.

But I would also recommend Petit Prince's suggestion. The Lake District in the north of England is so beautiful.
