He only sounds like Chris in The Shine - not so much in everything else.

So glad that it's solved though. I can rest easy now.

right this is really weird, but you know the lyrics in fall of man 'i had my wife and kids involved in my jag, i went out for a ride and i never came back' (i think thats it anyway) - thats from another really old song, but i can't for my life remember what it was.

And back on the subject of shine,

first thing i thought

Thanks.
Actually that band doesn't sound that bad. S.O.S is pretty catchy.

You are so young. Aren't you? And you know, right now everything's ahead of you. You could be anything. You could walk among the stars.
You know when I was little like you I dreamt of the stars.
I think it's fair to say, in the language of your age, that I lived my dream. I owned the stage. Gave it a hundred and ten percent.
I hope you have as much fun as I did.

Magnets is one hell of a good song. But I can't find their album on itunes, all that comes up is an ep, I wanted to buy a song.

The line is "Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack/I went out for a ride and I never went back."

It's from Springsteen's "Hungry Heart," which I think Chris has covered once or twice live. There are some performances floating around somewhere in the MM forum.
