I did manage to pick one up from the sound desk but I can reach it for a picture right now. It was the same as the other shows though.

Phil, who is our fifth member, he doesn’t play an instrument but he plays the mobile phone and the laptop computer - Will Champion

it’s a good noisy crowd that sing through the show at the Ahoy - none more so than when the band are on the B-Stage and the cheer for Will during Us Against The World is so huge that the song grinds to a halt amidst disbelieving giggles on stage - Roadie #42

He did an interview on BBCR1 with Greg James about an hour ago and they talked about playing harmonica too.

This was the best Coldplay concert I've seen so far, it was beyond amazing!

My favourite photo from that night:

Can't wait to see them again in Detroit, hopefully New Jersey and The Hague!

Simon Pegg: Coldplay show was terrifying

Simon Pegg says appearing on stage with Coldplay recently was "terrifying and weird".

The British actor has been friends with the rock band for many years, after they were introduced by his wife.

Coldplay played a show in London, UK, earlier this week and asked Simon to perform with them.

"It was terrifying," he laughed. "I'm alright doing films and stuff but I'm not a rock musician so to be on stage in front of 70,000 people felt a little bit weird."

Sorry about the narrow video, I struggled to fit them all in with Landscape view

Just remembered watching back- there was a guy singing "Lights come flying at the speed of sound". Lights? Have I missed something?

Coldplay live at the Emirates Stadium, June 2012

So I finally got to shoot the confetti! Having missed out at the O2 I was hoping for the confetti shower that I’d seen so many other photographers enjoy, and finally got my chance. As it happened it wasn’t quite perfect – Chris didn’t come all the way down the runway when the blowers were on, and then he ran in and ran out before hitting the deck near the middle of the runway, rather than at the end as I’d been expecting. Cue a frantic sprint to get round the staging to where he’d bent his knees at a seemingly impossible angle….

Still a fantastic live band, the echoes of ‘Yellow’ as I walked to the tube reminded me why I still love Coldplay, however cheesy it might be to say so! No denying they’ve written some top pop tunes.

First proper outing for the D800 too, and although there were some issues with the speed it buffers at, the colours are really great and the focusing seems pretty decent. I even gave the D300 a final outing with the fisheye on….so yes, I was wearing three cameras and I’m sure that makes me an arse, but well, rather the extra shot than leave it sat on the floor at home.

Default Lost ID

I have got my own very personal story to tell from this truly amazing concert (my 4th Coldplay one)! Still during Rita Ora, I noticed that I had lost my ID card - and without it I would not have been able to fly back to Germany on Wednesday.

My first try to find it was the toilets - nothing of course. Then I spoke to a very nice stewardess, who took all my details and promised to bring it to my seat if anybody handed it in. When I told her that I might have left it in the cafe outside, she said that I will not be able to leave the stadium and come back in, once the ticket has been swiped.

I tried nonetheless, and this is why I am posting this: the security guys were very friendly and immediately said there might be a way round this, once I had explained the story. I was told to leave and once outside speak to a guard they had pointed out, so that he can recognise me and let me back in. Still I was not sure if this would work out so I very excitedly shouted to him "Look me in the eyes, it is me you have to let back in, promise!" He smiled and assured me that everything would be alright. Imagine losing your passport AND missing the Coldplay concert!!!

When I reached the cafe, it was already closed!!! So I asked in the shop nearby, if they know the owner to open it back up (I saw my shares really dropping) and then the guy says he IS the owner. And to cut it short, my ID was in the cafe and I was let back in at the gate and caught the last bit of Robyn.

So in case, anybody involved reads this:
Thank you to the security guys!!
Thank you to the cafe owner!! (Angels Cafe I think it was called, near the stadium) and the cappuccino was very nice too!

AND: When you think it is all over - everythings not lost!

Last Thank you to COLDPLAY for an amazing night and to the other fans who made for a fantastic group singing!
