Lightbulb The Scientist electric guitar tabs

Ok so heres the deal. Ive looked at all the tabs for the electric guitar part of the scientist, including Kapone's, and i just dont understand them...

some parts of the tabs use only two of the strings, and doesnt sound at all like what johnny plays at the ending of the scientist, or at least i cant make it sound like that, but everyone insists those are the tabs.

can anyone explain to me how to play them? here are kapone's:

a video would be so helpful, i really want to learn to play this. i got the acoustic chords down but i cant find out what johnny plays, either in the recorded version or in the acoustic that actually makes sense to me.
