Coldplay Cover The Beastie Boys

Not sure if somebody posted this but I don't feel like looking.

"OK, so the idea of someone as mild-mannered as Chris Martin singing '(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)' is pretty funny.

It's unlikely his 'mom' ever threw away his best porno mag, as it says in the Beastie Boys orginal.

But we shouldn't mock, because Coldplay's rendition is actually quite heartfelt: it's a tribute to Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, who it transpired recently is battling cancer.

Karen O and Jay-Z, who were playing the same festival, also paid tribute from onstage (Karen O dedicated 'Maps' to Yauch)."

I honestly thought this was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen. Maybe I'm just coldplay biased but I liked this version better then the Beastie Boys.

I cracked up when they started playing this. It's so opposite of Coldplay songs and yet Chris managed to make it sound amazing.
