SINGER Chris Martin claims there is only one act in the world that is better than Coldplay – magician Paul Daniels and his assistant Debbie McGee.

The British band were named Best Act In The World Today at the prestigious Q Awards on Monday, beating off stiff competition from Oasis and U2.

Chris admitted he was thrilled at receiving the accolade but insists his group cannot compare in the entertainment stakes to the diminutive magician and his wife.

He told Radio 1: “We’re good but we’re not better than Paul Daniels, especially with Debbie McGee. They’re an unbeatable combination"

Maybe he wants to sing with him in the new Coldplay cd
