Thanks for the effort. ;) Just watched it again - they're so youthful and vibrant. :nice:
And your nickname 'happycoldplay' (:D) on YT made me think how this 'non-Coldplay' album actually best represents Chris Martin as the main songwriter.
The quirky, neurotic, funny bastard he is... :smug2:

smallnshort247 23-02-2012 05:04 PM

Thanks for the upload! Their CB performance was much better than their Paradise one at the Grammys. Good job guys!

blueberry426 23-02-2012 07:00 PM

Thank you for uploading it! Really great performance at the Brit.:D

Thanks for sharing it! I haven't seen this one. Chris and Jonny are funny as usual.

Noel is too much!

Noel Gallagher says he will do yoga if Chris Martin starts smoking.

Noel Gallagher will do yoga if he gets Chris Martin to smoke.

The 'If I had a Gun' rocker insists he will only follow his health-conscious pal's example if he can persuade the Coldplay singer to abandon his clean-living ways and share a cigarette with him.

Noel told The Sun newspaper: ''He's my mate and the polar opposite of me. He does yoga and doesn't smoke. I'm trying to get him to smoke but he's not having it.

''I said to him I'll do the f***ing crab or the scorpion if he shares a Marlboro Light with me.

''But he's not having it. He's taller than me so he'll probably put me in a headlock, roll me into a ball and throw me into a swimming pool.''

Chris played the piano as Noel's High Flying Birds performed 'AKA... What A Life!' at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night (21.02.12) - and Noel admits the pair's preparations for the performance were very different as 34-year-old singer was insistent on everything being ''perfectly right'' beforehand, while he wasn't so bothered.

He explained: ''Chris is very thoughtful - the polar opposite of me. He likes to have things perfectly right and I couldn't give a s**t.''

LOL! That made my day.
It's great they're friends now. I still remember Noel yelling out that Chris was a 'F**king plant pot' at the '06 Brits, lol. THey got along privately, but Noel had to keep up appearances, lol.

I think that was Liam Gallagher, not Noel:

"Liam Gallagher launched into an angry tirade against Coldplay at yesterday’s Q Awards in London calling them ‘plant pots’ and other obscenities. "

Ah, you're right. It was a long time ago, lol.

James. 23-02-2012 11:51 PM

Heh, I wonder how Liam felt about all that Noel got up to at the Brits? Duetting with the 'plant pot' and hugging former nemesis Damon Albarn

Wintergreen 24-02-2012 12:11 AM

Ha, I wondered about that as well.

Interesting deal Noel put forth there. Wonder what Chris would say in response?

LdySpace 24-02-2012 02:21 AM

All of the guys had a spouse/companion with them at the awards. I get that it's Chris and Gwyneth's choice to do things the way they do, but I just think it gets carried away sometimes. Would it really kill them to be seen together once in a blue moon?

Chris has talked about Gwyneth plenty during this MX era. If she came along with him to the Brits it would have just become a media circus for some people and that is exactly what Chris doesn't want, parading his wife in front of the cameras as though she is some sort of trophy. They were right not to go along together and it's an example other celebrity couples should adhere to. As long as their children can see them both, it doesn't matter one bit whether we should.

I remember him explaining that in an interview once and I really like that. It's such a respectful, classy thing to say and it makes perfect sense.

Yeah. I understand what you're saying, LdySpace. But I also appreciate their decision to keep their relationship private. To each their own :).

LdySpace 24-02-2012 03:09 AM

I've known what he's thought for a long time and understand it truly, but it did seem a little lonely for him at the awards even though he wants it that way. It just made me think for a split second....that it's too bad it's crazy the way it is because it would be nice to see them in the same photo once every ion.

LdySpace 24-02-2012 03:13 AM

Duh.....eon.

Wintergreen 24-02-2012 03:16 AM

No, yeah, I totally understand. You're right, it sucks that the media gets so crazy sometimes with celebrities and their families.

But even if the paparazzi weren't so nosy, I have a feeling Chris might still be a very private person anyway. Some people are just like that. Fame's a very strange thing and I don't blame him for wanting to try and carve out a small amount of quiet alone time in his life.

britttt-v 24-02-2012 12:52 PM

I really understand and respect the fact that Chris doesn't want the paparazzi to meddle with his relationship. But when you're married, I would think it's nice to share the big moments in live together, and winning a big award is certainly one of these moments I guess...

She was there cheering for them at the Grammys apparently, so it's a bit odd if she wasn't at the Brits. Maybe she was there but nobody saw her :inquisitive:

Before the Grammys there was a photo of the seating plan, and she was right next to the seats marked out for the band, so she was definately there. I think Chris is a bit more relaxed about the whole thing these days, he seems much more willing to mention her in interviews and stuff anyway. Perhaps she wasn't at the brits because she was working on a project somewhere else or something.

Well, they tried it back in 2003 when they were dating and it didn't go too well. Chris was getting in trouble with paps who wouldn't leave them alone.
Anyway, I have a feeling Gwyneth never left the US after the Grammys. She's very much involved with the Oscars this weekend.

I'm sure they do share their big moments in private.

Every time my crush on Chris is about to wear out, he goes and does something like this and I fall in love all over again. :D It was awkward though how he left the other guys hanging. LOL
Such a fanboy indeed.

It's so funny to say that in portuguese, cause Bum Bum (same pronounce) is a polite way of saying ass, than it's like Chris has "ass" writen on his back

Well, I'm 49, been married for 17 years and have 2 teenage sons. Sometimes I have to come back to reality and resign to the fact that it's not happening between Mr. Martin and I. LOL
