20-Oct-08: Ottawa - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [originally 21 Oct]

Anybody here in Ottawa, or will be attending the Ottawa concert October 21st? So far nobody i've spoken to has heard of the concert coming here :shocked2: Most of the radio stations don't even know and it's not up on Capital Tickets.ca or Scotia Bank Place.com

If there are any members here planning on attending the concert, do you expect the tickets to go through Capital Tickets.ca again? I was thinking of going online to buy them but since there may be no presale I might pitch a tent in front of Scotia Bank or wait in from of Sport Expert until 10am to buy tickets.

Will most definately be there! I'm waiting online at Capital Tickets.ca at 10am. I hope there's a presale, or at least I hope Capital Tickets annouces the tour soon.

ryansn 01-06-2008 06:28 AM

oh come on, your telling me there's no other Ottawa members?

redcurry 03-06-2008 06:48 AM

oh i'm definitely going!
don't forget to sign up for the presale!

ryansn 06-06-2008 02:13 PM

Well this is fucking bogus, no moe Ottawa concert. I don't get it. We get 2 shows and now they bail on us:angry: I just gope Live Nation and the promoters are just stupid and still have to rework all the shows into the schedule.

redcurry 06-06-2008 06:46 PM

ahhh this is so disappointing.
i just checked the 105.3 kiss fm site and it also says that the date was cancelled.
nooooooooo
i suppose montreal isn't too far out of the way though, so if worse comes to worse i'll just get a ticket for that show

There's Hope Yet

I was speaking to someone at Capital Tickets today, and they assured me that they have confirmed that Coldplay will be playing Ottawa, but that they're not sure when, or when tickets will go on sale. I'm keeping my ears open, and hoping that we'll hear something soon.

ryansn 07-06-2008 03:24 AM

fucking bogus man, i swear Ottawa is the PITS for concerts. we get sloppy seconds, and the grease left over from the burgers:veryangry2:

I hope they reschedule it.

Wow, thats the best news I've heard all day, or in fact in 2 days. If Capital Tickets can assure us this, then i'm a bit more calm. I think they still have to work out the edges with the Senators schedule and stuff. As much as i'm a DIEHARD Sens fan, when it comes down to it id rather see a Coldplay concert than a Sens game.

EDIT: I emailed Chelsea Miller from LIVE 88.5 and from what shes knows the show is still a go here, the dates just aren't set in stone yet. She told me to e-mail DJ Noah so i'll see what happens.

Good to know. Huh, that's too weird... I went to high school with Chelsea Miller. I had no idea she was on Live 88.5.

Hopefully we'll know before too long what's going to happen. We really want to be at the show, and I'd like to know before too long. We've been on the edge of our seats waiting for info.

ryansn 09-06-2008 11:12 PM

Ok apparently Capital Tickets had no info regarding the show. Does ANYBODY have any new info? I REALLLLY hope they come!

ryansn 10-06-2008 10:19 PM

ALRIGHT! OTT! Shows back on!! October 20th baby!
