Hey, I said the same about Jay-Z... you never know!
Ohhhh don't get me started on Girls Aloud!!
Noelia and Joe's faces might sum it up better:
It was torture!!!
And yessss, Snow Patrol are awesome live!
I never listen to their studio records tho, too "soft" or whatever, there's a much much much better energy in the live versions, rockier as well. Plus Gary is the perfect frontman (Hopefully no CP fan reads this: He's better than Chris )
Always chats with the audience, makes jokes, tells stories...
I can totally understand your thoughts about going to see Gaga, I bet it's a great show.
Same for me with Madonna. But only if I get in for free, prices are ridiculous!
And hey, don't say anything bad about Jay-Z.
I was totally NOT looking forward to him supporting CP at Wembley and then the minute he went on stage all was forgotten and I had an awesome time!
Seeing him there changed my opinion of him and made me go to the proper gig in Paris which was great fun.
Beyonce however was rather awful I have to admit.
We had VIP tickets (for free because of a friend's colleague's broken relationship... it would have been a gift to my friend's colleague and she didn't want to use the tickets anymore). So we could stand in front of the actual barrier, crushed fans behind us
The place wasn't sold out however, half empty. And you could feel that Beyonce just wasn't giving it all and the atmosphere wasn't that great...
Your friends just haven't been to a Coldplay concert yet.
But yeah, of course, we can go together!
The sound in that arena was awful and what they were playing sounded really out of synch.
So I can't tell you much. During their set we were all just complaining and wondering if the sound technician is deaf.
The perfect festival for me was the Main Square Festival!
The stage and standing area is in the middle of a small town called Arras in France. No mud!
Here's one of my videos where you can see the square:
I got there last second because a friend couldn't go so I took her ticket and hotel room.
And I joined songkick purely for that reason! To have a place where I have written down all those gigs and can look up dates etc whenever I can't remember something.
(Those Beyonce tickets were offered to me for free btw... )
I'll go to bed now, still not feeling well... good night!
Well, I'll certainly try to be at the next London gig of Coldplay... hopefully that's not too soon because I'm broke, don't earn much money during my apprenticeship.
So at the moment there are no other gigs planned apart from the White Lies gig in March in Luxembourg...
And no I won't go to the festival. It's expensive, you have to camp (which I don't like) and the most part of people is there to get drunk and that's just not what I like... Rock am Ring is usually broadcast on TV, I'm counting on that!
I'm hoping for regular concert dates around that time...
My boss is a fan as well so I think I better not sound TOOOO excited about it, he's already massively jealous that I went to see Arcade Fire!
He was thinking about going for a moment as well but then decided against it because of the distance he'd have to travel.
Oh the concert was awesome!
I had the most energy since the CP Düsseldorf gig in August 2009.
Been jumping and dancing and singing throughout, at some point I felt like in a trance even and just closed my eyes... while still jumping and singing.
Hope I didn't annoy the others too much with it haha!
It was great because we were first row center and so into it, the people around us were the same. So yeah, it was worth all the freezing and spending all night afterwards in trains.
If just that bloody cold didn't come afterwards.
What's your member name on .mu again?
We should be friends there as well, maybe we'll see each other at some other gig again!
How are you?
Yes, thanks, I was at the Arcade Fire concert when Chelsea wrote an excited message to me about it!
I couldn't watch it until Tuesday though because my mobile's battery was empty and I took a train back home overnight.
I caught a massive cold and haven't been out of zombie-mode since Monday
