Wow, it was a letdown to be honest. I'm super excited for Passion Pit, so that's good. Jet'll be great too. But the Cribs weren't announced. I'm finding it hard to work out what festival these bands will slot into over the summer that weren't announced...

BDO 2nd announcement tomorrow morning. Very excited. Even if I don't get the bands that I wanted, I won't be too worried because the lineup is decent already.

In order of preference, it would be amazing if any of these were announced:
1. Vampire Weekend
2. Julian Casablancas
3. Passion Pit
4. The Cribs
5. Phoenix
6. Foals
7. Wolfmother
8. Jet

We'll see, I guess. 9am.. I'll be up early anyway.. I have an exam tomorrow afternoon then I am going to see Maximo Park tomorrow night. So I need a good start to the day!

I did... I only have ok computer, in rainbows and pablo honey in cd, the rest on itunes!

And I check the FL forums all the time now, the wingers suck, I definitely hope the delay is worth it. I check that rumor thread for fun, pretty much.

The Casablancas album is worth buying just for the artwork of the digipak. Simply Amazing. I purchased the Momford and Sons and La Roux albums too, before they get too big and everyone in the entire UNIVERSE knows about them... Hope the study is going well.

You make an excellent point. Genuine impact on the world stage is hard to come by; you could argue that The Temper Trap are the closest band to it at the moment, especially since their track was used for the movie '500 days of summer' around the world. Bands like JET and Wolfmother are quite well known in America compared to other Aussies - you think its a case of cracking that market? Because I think we have the UK done already.

I am really keen to hear the Tame Impala debut, and another amazing Cut Copy album. They are probably not rushing it, which could, like you said - mean that everyone forgets about them.

And how dare you compare Tankian to Casablancas in the BDO thread!! One is worthless piece of shit. Go figure. But I agree 100% with your observation...
