Hey! Been really busy. Hardly check the forum that much now to be honest, well nowhere near as much as I used to.

Uni is crazy, doing a 20,000 word thesis with the topic "Strategies as a response to challenges: A study of the Australian Music Industry". There's so much work to do before I go out and interview the companies, with theory and stuff and all the literature to cover. It's a strategic-management based thesis, which means no numbers! (Thank god)

I still find the time if I find new music news or such to post it on my music blog. Getting some more hits on it too, which is good. As for my fave stuff of the year, Contra is still by #1, I am excited to see them in May. I like the Two Door Cinema Club album because it's a favourite genre of mine, havent heard anything of the Beach house album but I noticed it got some good reviews.

As for others, the new MGMT stuff sounds awesome. I really how random "Flash Delirium" is, but the more I listen to it the more structured it actually sounds. And the other song, closer "Congratulations", is a decent ballad. I think I am going to like this album, and a lot of people are going to hate it. Surfer Blood is growing on me. Ordered Broken Bells online so it should arrive soon. Hopefully I like that album, the singles are good. And Gorillaz is quite decent, I like the subtle change in style compared to their previous albums, Albarn is a genius with some of the songs on it. Probably woudn't rate it as highly as pitchfork did, but it sounds good to me.

Will have to listen to those ones, I just realised today that the White Stripes had a new live album out. Oh, and I am anticipating the new Dead Weather album due out in May, I just hope that the quality is good because it seems kind of rushed.

HAHAHA Man U do not have it in the bag, our run home is kinda dodgy. I think out of the three title contenders, Arsenal have the easiest. I am glad to sit back and watch Rooney go about his business and more of Chelsea fuck up to be honest, it has been good viewing lately!

my fave albums of the year? contra by vampire weekend, teen dream by beach house, i speak because i can by laura marling and one life stand by hot chip. been listening to gorillaz and surfer blood lately, not completely sold on either. looking forward to finally listening to the new mgmt, angus n julia and joanna newsom.

some awesome live albums this year too. broken strings by birds of tokyo and under great white norther lights by the white stripes have both been really great listens. well worth getting in my opinion.

and i believe man utd have EPL all but wrapped up and with an easy run into the champs league final we should have that also unless those bastards barca make it through also, then they might give us some grief.

hows your thesis going? what was the topic again? how many words are you aiming to get?

Cheers. It was an incredible day. Having seen the video for the Resistance, the 3rd single, to see them live at say Rod Laver Arena in Melb for a full show would be amazing. Hopefully it doesnt clash with anything and that I am in the country too - do not want to miss this!

i guess the question on everyones lips is when will muse return! i know they've promised november/december-ish. but im really worried that it will clash with exam time for me. last year i was lucky cos i finished them pretty early but i dont see that happening this time around.

im doing 3 subjects second semester so that might help my case but i would absolutely be gutted if there was a clash!

Hey mate, hope you had an awesome new years. Whilst I still believe these are fakes... I have also started working out what I'd see if it was similar to Melb's. I would prob go on what I posted... No rumours, although the #1 possibilities are either The Vines or Foo Fighters.

Have editors tomorrow night... psyched. Would have loved to do falls, oh well.... Hopefully the proper BDO timetable is up this week. I'm guessing mon or tues.
